Petals Bath Boutique: Soap

Petals Bath Boutique was recommended to me by my friend Deb, from It's Always Something. Deb has quite a talent handcrafting soaps in her own right. I have had the pleasure of purchasing quite a few bars from her that I quickly ran through this past winter. My hubs and I both like a rub a dub dub with bar soap. I chose three scents for my maiden voyage with Petals Bath Boutique: Duchess, Pirate's Cove, and Magic Detox (from L to R in above photo).

Pirate's Cove- This is only half the bar, as I wanted to test out the soap for blogging purposes purely... ummm... no. Who am I kidding?! I broke a chunk off the bottom as soon as its wonderous scent hit my smelling gland. This scent was a collaboration with Petals and Future Primitive (who I placed my first order with a week ago... dang you Deb and your great recommendations). The description according to packaging is: Ocean Air, Grassy Dunes, and Aged Wood. Now do you see why I needed it STAT? It is the epitome of the best purest "soap" smell. Nothing fancy. Just clear ozonic notes and cleanliness.

Duchess- Orange Blosson, Jasmine, Vanilla. Adam does not get to have any of this bar, it is all mine. The jasmine is the loudest in this scent, but the bloom is more green than white and mature. The orange blossoms come across as orange leaves and zest. Vanilla is the anchor holding this scent together, all creamy sexiness. The mermaid likes.

Magic Detox- Tea Tree and Activated Charcoal. The tea tree is camphoric and clears my head the minute I sniff. I am interested in activated charcoal for providing a deeper cleanse than normal. I am excited to use this bar.

Having used Pirate's Cove for about a week I am happy to say I love Petal's soap formula. It is a hard soap that lathers well and leaves no residue or tightness behind. Her bubble bars will be the next to fall into my net. Muahahahahahaaaa!!!

Oh yes, and she gave three free sample slivers of summer up and coming scents that launch soon I believe. I recommend the Pomona and Moonwater scents.

  1. Look at those gorgeous soap pieces! Wow! Love the way Duchess sounds, ohhhhh boy, those ingredients seem like they would come together amazingly. And no sharing, that's the best, LOL. Again, your shells and different beachiness elements to your photos are just so fun and a real treat to look at! Love it. Are you still loving blogging?

  2. Yay for Petals! If I'm not mistaken, she doesn't use the same formula for all of her soaps. It's been ages since I've ordered from her, mainly because I've gotten lazy and gone back to commercial body washes. Bad me, I know. I will need to order some bars for hubby soon though, so it might be Petals that I revisit.

    1. Different formulas makes sense. I will go back and read her ingredient labels. If you get anything I would love to hear about it!!

    2. I will definitely blog about it if I decide to order. It's been quite a while since I've done a soap post.
