Rosegirls Giveaway Winnings

Jenny, the owner of Rosegirls, sponsored a giveaway on the Rosegirls' Facebook group about a month ago and several folks were randomly drawn. I had the happy fortune to be amongst them and am very grateful. My winnings came on a notoriously hot day in a bubble mailer so some were a wee bit smooshed but no worse for the wear. They smell divine! So what all did I get?

Blueberry Pumpkin Vanilla Crunch Donut- Right now, I sniff out blueberry vanilla foremost, however, there is a touch of sweet potato-esk type of a pumpkin threaded though this large chunky cookie.

Blueberry Hill- This is gooooood. Real good. Pie worthy. Rosegirls already has a jam up strawberry but add blueberry to the mix and I am sold. I believe this is their Boo Berry/Frankenberry blend but it just smells like strong, jammy blueberry and strawberry preserves. Sweet and concentrated.

Strawberry Blonde- Strawberry mixed with cranberry and raspberry champagne. My nose picks up strawberry and grape fizzy pop soda. Youth, candies, and effervescence.

Bird of Paradise and Pomegranate- I enjoy this blend! It is a smooth, tropical concoction that is heavier on the orange, pink and red fruits: papayas, mangoes, guavas, berries, and of course the tart note that lets you know pomegranate joined the party. There is a smoothness that suggests coconut milk. And maybe a green smooth banana leaf too.

Greased Lightening- Savanna picked this one up and declared "This smells like cookies." I could see that. There is a heavier bakery quality with this one with definite strawberry leanings, it seems to have a creaminess too, like whipped topping. I believe this is a strawberry shortcake and cuppa cake blend?  Either way, it smells great.

Toffee Apple Streuselkuchen- THIS. This. This is the guy I have been waiting to wrap my senses around for much too long. I bought a bag of this and cannot wait to wallow in it. On cold it is a lovely caramel apple. But I know my cinnamon bakery... I am betting that when warmed the streuselkuchen is going to stop in and say hello. So. Stinkin'. Excited.

Lemon Poppyseed Cookies- Kicking myself for not grabbing a bag in this. Or a pie. Either one. Reminds me of monster cookie mated with lemon bars. I can almost feel the poppyseeds crunching between my teeth.

Candy Corn, Marshmallow Smoothie and Butterbrickle- This little fella is strong. Rich, like candy corn studded sweetened condensed milk. The ever present bite of butterbrickle is really softened amongst the marshmallow smoothie. I am going to love this one.

Serendipity Noel- Sometimes I forget simple blends are sometimes the best. Rosegirls always has such amazing things on offer that I hardly ever think to make a blend as simple as serendipity noel. Oh! But it is so good! Coconut heavy, vanilla heavy, cherries and citrus compote. Divine and delicious in its strength.

I am really thankful to have won this and love every last piece of wax included. Are there any new Rosegirls' scents you are wanting to try?

  1. Now that I have my samplers I can relate to a few of these. Serendipity Noel sounds interestingly yummy. For some reason I never think of RG as even having Serendipity. Maybe because I don't see it in their stuff much?

Congratulations on winning all the yummies!
