Rosegirls June Order: Bakery Bags of Chunks and Brittle

Ready to dive into some yummy Rosegirls madness? Come along with me and see what came in that big old box Tod was sniffing a few days ago. Some bags had fewer but larger chunks while some had more but smaller sized chunks. And some had chunks missing as I set them aside for my sisters and daughters. Rosegirls bakery bags are $9 each for the chunk blends and $8 for the single scent brittle.

Macintosh Madness and Rosegirls Garden is a beautiful duet of sweet shiny red apples and velvety soft red petaled roses.

Toffee Apple Streuselkuchen combines cinnamon marbled cake and caramel apples. Heavier on the toffee caramel apples.

Pecan Waffle Butterbrickle smells over the top richly dense like a pound cake swimming in a sea of pralines and caramel. Rosegirls' Pumpkin Pecan Waffles are already mouth watering but adding that butterbrickle makes them irresistible.

Windmill Cookies in the bag emit a strong almond extract aroma, but taken out of the bag and sniffed directly, the pastry comes out more. They begin to smell like a crispy almond cookie that would come in a gift tin and be best nibbled with a cup of hot tea.

Warm Voodoo blends Dragon's Blood and Warm Vanilla Sugar to create a lovely unique take on the traditional earthy scent. Warm Vanilla Sugar seems to be the overpour and it gives it a sweet vanilla musk base. This will be a wonderful fragrance for my bedroom.

Beach Vacation merges Pink Sugar and suntan lotion to create a tropical, coconut laden aroma that will be thoroughly enjoyed during the summer months when I am dreaming of the beach.

Sugared Jasmine and Gilligan's Brew is a lovely take on a tropical floral. This smells even better than I had hoped it would. It is pretty and clean enough that I would melt this on laundry days. It suggests a fragrance that Philosophy or Pacifica would create.

American Cream Type smells just like I want it to smell. Soft, musky, flirty and feminine. Excellent. I am going to blend it with the Jasmine Gilligan above and perhaps the Warm Voodoo and maybe even Beach Vacation. Wishing I would have used American Cream to blend with but alas, I did not. Praying Jenny keeps this scent around for next custom opening but I will be surprised, as most perfumey/floral scents do not seem to be generally popular.

Sugared Jasmine on its own is very strong and beautiful. This jasmine is not raw or heady or obnoxious. I would describe Sugared Jasmine more like a flower cart overflowing with colorful bouquets of all types. There is a carnation sharpness, a powdery hyacinth, purple freesias and sweet pink baby roses, by and far more of a medley of notes rather than a single flower of jasmine.

Eye (and nose) candy.

Pecan Waffle Fluff Puffs

Coming In From The Snow - I NEED this in mass quantities. Thankfully I did get one extra chunk of this in my sampler that arrived. Sharp icy peppermint and some type of perfume backnote. Gah. It is freaking awesome.

The Little Farmer - It smells like a creamy apple cider. Maybe their whipped cream? Interesting.

I have to say I am getting more and more interested in the single note brittle. I feel like I might enjoy playing around with the scent combinations a bit. Do you use the scent brittle or make your own blends in the warmer? Any particular new blends you are enjoying?

  1. What a beautiful order! Coming in from the snow, American Cream Type, and Pecan Waffle Butterbrickle sounds yummy! I've recently enjoyed the peppermint smells. I've been trying to broad my waxy horizons from just the bakery smells and enjoy finding such smells in the last haul you gave me. We can chant together now! RG, RG, RG!

  2. I can't help but wonder if The Little Farmer is in honor of the local apple and pumpkin place that hubby and I like to go to. I thought I saw someone mention somewhere that the scent was apple and pumpkin.....?

  3. The Little Farmer would be cool if it was a homage like Deb mentioned! Sounds like a winner. LOVE your choices! You say Sugared Jasmine and Gilligan's Brew is BETTER than you expected?! Yay!! Hoping she keeps American Cream for you. What version did you like better RG or UTC? Awesome haul!!

    1. Not sure yet. On cold UTC smells sweeter with more vanilla musk. RG smells more fresh and clean. I will melt them simultaneously in separate rooms to compare.

  4. WOW! So good. I've never thought to order the single brittle, maybe I shall now :) Great job on the sugared jasmine/gilligans brew! I can imagine how awesome that smells.

    1. If Deb sees CiFtS in the store we need it. I am going to cut my chunk in half and send it with your Christmas gift so you can smell it. I want to hear what you think of it! Have a wonderful Friday Sunnee.

    2. I don't see myself going to RG for myself any time soon but if you guys need to send me on a mission, just let me know. There are a few scents I'd like to sniff that I'm seeing pop up in samplers and hauls, but they never have what I'm looking for when I go to the store. Frustrating!

    3. I understand that. I am set for RG for a little while I think ;-) but The Snow tart and a handful of scents will always be in my radar for buying when available. Maybe in the spring I will be ready for a run. If I have any you want to smell please holler, I can shave off some for you to sample.
