Lush Life: Boxing Day Sale (Part 2) & Bubbles & Babies

The second order I placed arrived after a little hiccup and shuffle. One of the sets I ordered (Secret Santa) had oversold, so Lush emailed me and asked if I wanted to have Shine instead or a refund. I opted for Shine since it was a nicer set and was a good deal.

Festive Cheer housed a 3.3 ounce bottle of Hot Toddy shower gel and a 3.5 ounce bar of Yog Nog. I used Hot Toddy as a bubble bath the other night and it created a sparkling Red Hot cinnamon bath that I found quite enjoyable. Yog Nog has that same soft, buttery texture as Snowcake. It arrived almost melty. The smell is a deeply layered nutmeg and dark cocoa and sandalwood, superb.

I am now officially swimming in Snowcake soap. Shine overflowed with Snowcake soap, a 1.5 ounce tub of Celebrate and an angle bath melt scented in Snowcake. I used the Celebrate body lotion and it has the same Tang scent as the Golden Wonder that I am not overly fond of, but I love the creamy texture and skin quenching properties. I plan on pairing this with my solid perfume in Karma, as the orange provides a common fragrance thread.

Couldn't pass up trying a new scent at half off! So White actually reminds me a little bit of Rosegirl's Snow White's apple version. It is green and fresh and crisp.

The girls had a bubble bonanza the other day with their friends in the backyard. I could not resist snapping some photos. There is something so magical in a bubble. Swirling, living jewel toned colors dancing in a transparent sphere that waits for none. Floating on the breeze, just out of reach, beckoning like a pied piper.

My baby is no longer really a baby. She will be turning 8 on Valentine's Day. Time, please slow down.

That was my magical moment of the week. Can I recommend a wonderful happy pill? Buy a bottle of bubbles at the dollar store and sit outside one day and make some magic of your own.

I would love to hear about your own magical moments.

    2. They're a bit indifferent to a lot of things these days, bubbles included. At 14, my pups are taking on a very serious been there done that attitude to life :)

    3. Hey! Sometimes I feel like that already too. Gotta shake it back up.

  2. Hot Toddy in bath form!? How cool! Have you ever smelled Snowcake in wax that smelled like Lush's version? So White sounds excellent, and if it's anything like RG's, it's a sure winner.

Those pictures with the bubbles are so adorable. The girls look like they are having a blast. Truly a magical moment.

    1. I don't think I have smelled a wax dupe of Snowcake. About a million Snow Fairy dupes but no Snowcake. I do not imagine I would like it in wax. Kinda like Honey I Washed the Kids. Ok in soap. Not wax.

They were having fun for sure!! It was a great day. Beautiful weather.
