Scentsy: 6 Pack Order

I have come full circle. Renee Boudreaux, my friend from a mom's group, consulted my first and only Scentsy party in April of 2013 and I was hooked on wax. I think I melted over 30 clamshells those first few months. After trying many many vendors since then, I have found there are several scents that Scentsy excels at for my nose. I think we have all found that certain vendors just do certain scents really well. When sweet Renee announced 10% off for February, I knew I wanted to grab a few of my favorites. After 10% off and the 6 pack bar discount, these averaged out to $3.75 each.

So what Scentsy fragrances do I adore?

Vanilla Suede- Time and again, this is my golden standard for sweet vanilla/leather/tobacco type of home fragrance. It is utterly smooth, perfectly blended golden sensual sweetness. The throw is strong and long lasting.

My Dear Watson- A spa evoking fragrance that keeps my bathroom freshly scented for days in a row with one cube. My sister gifted me this as a token of our Sherlock adoration- and more specifically my Watson leanings. Bergamot, mint, cedar, and suede combine to create this fragrance.

French Lavender- Scentsy lavender manages to be slightly sweet, very clean, and a touch herbal all at once to me. My all time favorite combo is one cube of this with one cube of Sugar (below). My first ever blending experience and still one of my favorites to date.

Sugar- This is where my love affair with Pink Sugar hatched. This is a near perfect dupe of the perfume. I do wish it was a touch stronger. But that is just me being nit picky. It is right gorgeous.

Satin Sheets- This one might throw folks off who expect a fresh clean linen aroma. This is all vanilla sandalwood and my first "aaaahhhhhhh" inducing scent. I have tried many vanilla sandalwood wax tarts since and this white beauty is the reigning queen. Creamy, alluring, and comforting.

I was having a hard time choosing my 6th scent. I love Luna, Lush Gardenia, and Ocean all equally. My indecision led me to ask Renee to pick out her favorite new scent that she wanted to showcase. It came down to:
Sedona Sunset- According to Scentsy "Just as the setting sun paints the desert sky, flamboyant desert lily and vanilla orchid enliven creamy coconut milk and ethereal jasmine." She could not have picked a better scent for me. I literally laughed out loud when I sniffed this! Somehow this tart smells like Vanilla Suede, Satin Sheets, and Lush Gardenia all blended into a beautiful concoction of creamy vanilla floral bliss.

Have you tried Scentsy lately? What are your Scentsy favorites that you have not found other vendors able to duplicate?

The link above does no benefit me in any way. I posted it in case you are interested in ordering from Renee, as she is my friend, and she has a goal for March. Thank you.

  1. great picks!! haven't ordered scentsy in awhile.. my favorites are: Cherry Vanilla, Hendrix (discontinued...boo!!), Luna, & Christmas Cottage (we won't discuss how many bricks I may have of this... lol).
I have yet to find a cinnamon that comes across like Christmas cottage.... and I am obsessed with Cherry Vanilla... I've tried a few other Cherry scents, but I keep coming back. I would love to find a dupe for Hendrix.. it was hubby's fav!

    1. I remember having a brick of Christmas Cottage and BlackRaspberry Vanilla. I adored Hendrix too! Such a great masculine scent. Ah Luna! Isn't she great?! Cherry Vanilla is very good too. A lighthearted scent.

  2. I only got into wax in Sept -- and that was through Scentsy. But, I've only tried four of their scents so far. The one I love love love is Peppermint Dreams. To me, it's like a York Peppermint Patty, very fresh, yet rich. I am actually planning on getting in another Scentsy order next month, to try more of their wax and pick up a couple of nice warmers. I wish their bulb warmers had the power of my hotplates, because I love the look and quality of their warmers. Thank you for the recommendations!

    1. Peppermint Dreams. Adding to my list. I can hardly ever go wrong with mint. I have great luck with their bulb warmers in smaller bedrooms and the bathroom. They really are nice and well made. This current catalog has really cool looking warmers. And some are hot plate types.

    2. Yes, I am definitely going to pick up a couple of new warmers from them. I love my Scentsy warmers for their wax and smaller spaces. I got my mother a cute hot plate one (the cardinal) for Christmas, and it works really well, too. I just find that they don't fully melts a lot of vendors' waxes. When I place my next order, I will be sure to order from your friend's website. The other Scentsy orders I've placed have been from people in my town, but I do not know them. They never reached out personally to me, so I have zero loyalty, LOL.

    3. The cardinal one is so cute. I bought my sister the mason jar/firefly one. I hope you have a nice weekend! <3

  3. Sometimes some of the Scentsy scents I hear other people at work talking about (we have a Scentsy seller who works there) intrigue me but then I always stop myself because I think 'I can find that at an indie vendor' and 'I will never buy from this particular woman.' Since I'm steering away from indie vendors these days, I *might* be a little more open to trying Scentsy.....but never from that particular woman at work. LOL!

    1. Lol!! I can't blame you, once bitten twice shy. I highly recommend Renee if you ever decide to try Scentsy out. She can ship them to you. There are some great fruity and bakery scents.

    2. Have you tried any of the lotions or other products they have?

    3. The travel tins I love! The snuggle buddies (stuffed animals with smelly inserts). The girls love them. My mother in law bought lotion, wash and spray in white tea and cactus and liked it. I used the room spray for the bathroom and loved it. But that is about it I think.

  4. I'm always turned off from Scentsy just because of all the consultants spamming on the wax Facebook groups. Most of the groups I'm in nowadays are really good about keeping the Scentsy posts to a minimum, but I had several bad experiences early on that steered me away from the company.
That being said, I've gotten several great performing tarts in destashes. I just don't personally know anyone I would be willing to buy scentsy through.
I only found out about Pink Sugar two years ago when it went through a huuuuuge spike of popularity in the wax world. My first ever tart I melted was a "Pink Flip Floppers" scent shot from Shayz Scentz and that scent will always remind me of that first step into the world of wax.

    1. Liz! Shayz!!!! I always forget how awesome Shayz pink blends are. Thanks for reminding me!

The reps on the wax boards can be a bit much, but Renee is a total sweetie and if you order I hope you do through her <3

I think Pink Sugar and I are in a long term love affair. Do you still enjoy it? Any favorite pink blends?

  5. I haven't bought much from Scentsy & it's been awhile. A friend recently had a Scentsy party, but I wasn't able to go! I was hoping to check out some new scents! I've only tried a few but I really liked the vanilla walnut & blueberry cheesecake.

    1. I hear folks rave about the blueberry cheesecake but I have never tried it. Cheesecake and I are iffy at best. The vanilla walnut sounds dreamy. I will have to sniff that one day. Thanks for the recs!
