Ebb & Flow: November

The highs and lows of the month.

Nail polish:
Petting all my newly ordered Rescue Beauty Lounge polishes. Still bummed Ji closed up shop. Will taunt you with them at a later date.

Makeup:
Benefit's Coralista blush. Glowy goodness.

Perfume:
Solstice Scents Hidden Lodge

Soap:
Handmade in Florida's Moroccan Tea Mint, stocking up on December 6th.

Wax:
Bath & Body Works Pumpkin Coconut candle

Eating:
Leftover homemade pumpkin pie with Whiskey Maple Sauce for breakfast.

Reading:
In Hovering Flight by Joyce Hinnefeld

Awaiting:
EPCOT Candlelight Processional, dinner at Chefs de France, and Christmas around the world, our big holiday event this year.

Dreading:
My second dentist appointment... obviously the one I had recently did not go well.

Enjoying:
Embroidering. Embroider all the things! Jewel toned strands of floss for days.

Hit:
The Red Hot Chili Pipers concert. What they say about what's under the kilt is true....

Miss:
Serge Lutens Water Lip Color. I almost don't want to talk about it. But good friends talk about bad products.

Low:
Getting rear-ended while the kids were in the Jeep. Geico (the person who hit me's insurance carrier) SUCKS and won't pay out. 97% customer satisfaction my foot. Unless those 97% are Geico stakeholders and they get to keep all their money from lack of claim issuance. Grr. Rant over.

High:
Thanksgiving.

What were some of your highs and lows? Hits or misses? Are you anticipating anything?

  1. A high for me is a lot of time off work in the later part of November and throughout December. Even if I'm bored and having nothing to do at home but nap or watch YouTube videos, it's still better than being at work. A low for November was that I just never really had a strong holiday mood. I usually LOVE Thanksgiving, but this year it just sort of came and went.

    1. Glad to hear you get some nice breaks this month. Any good books to read? I am hoping to watch some of the old Christmas movies I have never seen. And naps. Naps are good. I hope next Thanksgiving will be better for you. This one certainly flew by. I have officially given up on stuffing.

    2. I haven't read anything in well over a week now. I have two books started and neither one is grabbing me enough to continue. *sigh*

  2. You had me at Hidden Lodge ;) It sounds so good!! I'm still using up my bottle of Conjure, which I adore. I also had pumpkin pie for breakfast.. and I'm glad it's gone :p I'll look forward to hearing your review on In Hovering Flight. I have a copy but have so many books I want to read before it. Bravo for going to the dentist (shivers). I hope the next visit isn't as bad. November highs for me - I'm blessed to be alive! :)

    1. I have used up my one 3mL mini and moved into the one Jean passed on to me. Conjure is a favorite too. I have a feeling a full bottle will be had in the future. I am enjoying the book so far. I think it may be a tear jerker. The dentist certainly is a tear jerker. :-/

Amen! Being alive is the biggest blessing of all. <3 And you are one too.

  3. Solstice Scents Manor is my all time favorite perfume oil. I will have to try a sample of Hidden Lodge, if you love it I am sure I will as well! Ellisa

    1. Isn't Manor just dreamy? Like vanilla heaven. I seriously need a full bottle next year. Hidden Lodge reminds me of nature and dark cozy hidey holes. Conjure is another favorite too. How have you been Ellisa?
