Nest: Birchwood Pine Candle

After having good luck with two previous Nest candles (Moroccan Amber and Holiday) I was eager to try another. Using some Christmas and birthday Sephora gift cards I chose Birchwood Pine from the holiday line-up.

"The aroma of a majestic winter forest is created by blending white pine, fir balsam, and birchwood over a base of rich musk and amber. "

It smells exactly like the description. So much so that Adam came in the living room and asked, "What smells like a Christmas tree?" The fir, pine, and birchwood blend seamlessly creating the overall effect of an evergreen wood. The pine is lovely with no trace of cleaner or harshness. In fact, the musk and amber provide a golden filter that disperses the pine sap and balsam resins into a beautiful soft focus haze of shimmer. The flame burned stout, it took about an hour or so to pool out, and the throw created filled the living room without being over bearing.

I would repurchase this candle. I managed to score two more Nest candles but on clearance this time. They are Elton John Editions, one in Holiday and the other in Fireside. Have you tried Nest yet? What do you think?
