Sniff My Tarts: Part 3

This is it. My final tiny order from the August Sniff My Tarts opening. I think they are on their very last orders and a new opening will probably be announced in the not too distant future. My last order consisted of two small pies.

Aveda Rosemary Mint/Peppermint/Frost Bite- This blend is on point. If you are a minty fresh lover I think it will please. The Aveda contributes a sensation of cleanliness to the mint, giving it a slightly more spa aura. I would do this in  sheet cake, no doubt.

Orange Clove/Bayberry/Dried Apple Wreath- This blend turned out decent. The apple wreath is more sweet and candy that I thought it would be. Or maybe it is the oranges? Either way this is way less spicy than I assumed it would be. It is actually a really happy and energetic year 'round scent. I read on Facebook that Donna melts Bayberry on New Years every year. I thought that was a sweet tradition. I melted this right away and it was a little lighter than I am used to from SMT, but I will squirrel it away and come back to it later in the year.

I do not recall if I bought the piped heart or not, but I am lumping it in here with the other two free samples.

Aveda Rosemary Mint- Rosemary and mint meet menthol, camphor and maybe a pinch of eucalyptus. Spa like bliss.

Peppermint/Sweet Lavender Rosemary Mint/Eucalyptus Spearmint- What a mamajama blend! The mint and spearmint dominate with the lavender. I think I am going to enjoy this.

Sweet Lavender Rosemary Mint- This is a new single scent option at Sniff My Tarts that Donna created for a customer so she could blend more with it. These ladies are very accommodating! The lavender mutes the mint in this blend but it still feels fresh. There is a definite sweetness.

This wraps up my forever long Sniff My Tart August Opening Series. Do you plan on catching the next opening?

  1. I have no plans to order from this vendor but these all look really nice. That first one just *looks* all wintery-mintery. Love it.

  2. I'm so nerding it up right now that my scent blend made your blog. I'm so happy with how it turned out! It's such a relaxing, fresh scent. Love Donna & Amy, so sweet of them to make Sweet Lavender & Rosemary Mint as one option so I could blend 4 scents together.

    2. Awwwe thanks so much! Yes, that was me! & I love it! :) You're welcome. I was in the mindset that I wanted every mint you can imagine, then when I was watching Star Salvation, one of the secret ingredients was Rosemary Lavender & I just had to have that blended with every mint possible!

The Sweet Lavender Rosemary Mint was one they so sweetly added as one scent for me so I could put all those scents together, I thought I was going to have to give up either the peppermint or the lavender until they fixed everything. They are so accommodating & so sweet! They really make it so you can get what you want.

    4. Thanks! Definitely. I'm going to get a heart in the Aveda Rosemary Mint too, I've never tried that scent. I may add a pie or another 8oz bag & steal your Aveda blend above. Right up my alley!

  3. These look awesome! I'm getting a bit more hyped than I realistically should be over their upcoming opening. I think it's the blending that has me so excited. I've never blended scents before, and now I'm trying out new combinations and experimenting outside my comfort zone.
I'm still on the fence about mint blends. I think my nose is in a transitioning period.. or maybe it's expansion? In any case it's not as picky anymore, and that's opening up to include mint scents. I've found myself craving mint here and there, but I still can't go overboard or it gives me a headache.

    1. You hit it. The blending is exactly what hypes me up. Plus it helps they have great quality. I didn't realize you were tippy toeing into mints. I sent you a RG minty muffin but swizzle sticks is the over pour so it tones it down a bit. Broadening those scent horizons?! Heck yeah!!!! Love it!
