The Bathing Garden: Scrubs & Parfaits

As you know by now, I love scrubs and specifically The Bathing Garden scrubs. But I also enjoy Shannon's parfaits and lotions. I was completely out so I took this opportunity to restock on an indulgence, especially now that summer is coming. I want smooth skin.  I opened all of them except Sleepy and Marie Antoinette's Boudoir because I want them to last a tad longer. These typically can last for a year if sealed and stored away from light. The scrubs are $9.00 and the parafits, which are dual scrub and whipped soap, are $12.50.

The only plain scrubs I bought this time were Marie Antoinette's Boudoir and Sleepy. Though I will be getting Brown Sugar Cream Rose Bouquet and various seaside ones in the future.

Coconut Crystal Cake Parfait looks ethereal in all white with a faint dusting of fine pink glitter. Just like a moist coconut cream cake, I want to grab a spoon and eat it out of the jar. As a coconut fiend I am enamored. I only wish she had a tart in this scent, but I cannot be greedy because she has debuted more than plenty coconut themed scents this time.

Smitten Blueberry Lavender Parfait blends Blueberry Lavender Cake and Smitten Diaries. Together they whip up a creamy blueberry coconut delight. It makes me want to make Blueberry Delight pie. No bakery, just blueberries and cream. Sinful.

Chic Summer In A Jar Parfait is brightly tart and sweet overflowing with berries and pineapple and summery fruits. It is funny that I am not much for melting pineapple tarts, but bath with it in a shower and I am good to go. I try not to analyze my freakish tendencies too much.

The Contortionist Parfait is fresh and clean and a brilliant green tea and cherry blossom. A touch of white musk, a squeeze of fruits and a lot of beauty.

The rest of the scrubs were my free samples... so good... so so good.

Two ounce jars in:

Tunnel Of Love- Totally kicking myself for only getting one tart in this scent. Ultimate raspberry delight. Fresh and juicy with a candy and vanilla addition.

Pink Sands- Wow. The beach jumps right out to greet me. Sun and Sand with pink sugar and it is a wonderful scrub scent. I would wear this in a perfume, no lie.

Spring Fling- Mostly soft pineapples, decked with tiny flowers and other background tropical fruits. Lovely.

Parisian Strawberry Fields- This one takes me back. I used to love this wax tart. Slightly sour candied strawberries with citrus and sugar crystals. A joyful fragrance. Four ounce jar.

Kracken Berry- I want to say this is at least a 10 or 12 ounce jar, as I think the regular sized ones are 8 and this is way bigger. I think I like Kracken Berry better in the wax tart. It is a creamy vanilla berry scent but in the scrub I pick up some bubblegum tones. I am hoping that fades once wet and lathered up. I do like it. And I am ever so thankful for a huge jar of it. Every drop will get used.

So that was the body care portion of my order. I did get some more tarts and I plan on ordering the seaside tarts, scrubs and lotions too. Have you tried Shannon's parfaits? If you haven't tried her scrubs yet, you are missing out. One of my very favorite things.

  1. I have not tried her parfaits and it's been a long time since I've tried her scrubs. Some of these sound pretty nice!

    1. Do you enjoy scrubs? The parfaits might be fun for you to try since you aren't really into bar soap anymore. They lather really well! And the smell is nice and strong.

    2. I go through phases with scrubs, sometimes loving them, and something I can't be bothered. Cream soaps don't thrill me too much. I have a couple here from other vendors that I just keep pushing aside.

How does she do business now? Does she have a site? Or do I need to be in her FB group or something?

    3. Ah! Then maybe the plain scrub.

The way Shannon operates is a thing of beauty to me. She is open 24/7 on her website (I think I linked it above, I usually do each post) and she has about 2-4 collections going at a time for about 3 months then changes them. The TAT is 6 weeks but I don't mind since I can order anytime.

    4. I love her ordering system as well! I think she has found the perfect balance for her. Those parfaits are calling my name. I'm pretty well stocked on her scrubs and fortunately they've never spoiled on me. Beautiful pics Julie <3

    5. She has! Good to know about the scrubs! I have never had mine sit for more than several months so I wasn't sure how long they would last last but figured it would be a while. Thank you Sunnee! <3

    1. Me too Aliza!! Some scrubs I get this weird dry chemical sensation on my hands with that I hate. Sounds weird I am sure but I don't have a better way to describe it. With hers it just feels smoothing and nourishing. Thank you dear! I strive to do her artwork justice! <3
