Warmed Wax: The Bathing Garden

The Bathing Garden Fortune Teller turned out to be just as enchantingly mysterious melted as she was on cold sniff. Initially I detected ginger ale and lemon lime soda tartness but with an underlying cake quality. As the scent progressed, more brown syrupy cola emerged then butterscotch sauntered onto the scene. At different times of the day I would catch various notes popping out to surprise me. The throw was a solid medium-strong and I enjoyed it. I would repurchase again just to experience it. I could not melt it all the time but I did have fun with it.

The Bathing Garden Lemon Curd & Rose Milk was all that I remembered. The soft milky rose paired with lemony bright tang. A beautiful scent combination that threw medium-strong and lasted several hours. Repurchase, and I am happy to have a back-up.

I am kind of stumped on what to fill my melting basket with this time. Do you have any requests for scent types, vendors or wax you have seen me purchase but not review? How are you doing? Anything new in your neck of the woods?

  1. Make it an 'Ugh, Do I Really Want To Melt This?' basket. hehe

We're okay in this neck of the woods. Things seems crazy hectic, yet when I pause to think about why I can't pinpoint anything. Ever go through that?

    1. Lol!! That would be an interesting basket to fill for sure.

Yes, but for me it is a general anxiety about things to do and things I know need to be done. I feel that way right now. Finding a job, starting a new project, needing to desperately clean the house, needing to see something that is due soon, needing to paint the bedrooms, needing to get certain reviews done, needing to meet a deadline. It makes me feel on edge. Then add cooking dinner and the desire to just lay in bed and read and I am feeling pretty hectic. Hope it passes for us and calm waters emerge soon.

  2. Yay for Fortune Teller! I'm so happy to read your review on it and sooo excited for mine to arrive! Less than a month to go, hopefully.

Do you have any Sassy Girl Aroma tarts? She is a master at blends; a waxy friend sent me a bunch of them and they're divine! So I vote you melt SGA, CLK and CFTKR, and FP if you have any of these. These are all brands I've been trying into recently and I'd love to hear your opinions on whatever scents you may have.

    1. It is such a unique scent, truly nothing out there like it. I was planning on placing a nice sized Take Me To The Sea order but it will have to wait now. At least I know TBG holds up well enough to store until next summer.

I had a nice sized amount for a while there but I blew through most of my SGA and I have not had FP in my stash for a long time now and do not plan on ordering from there again. But I will certainly see if I have any lingering SGA, CLK and I have TONS of CFTKR. TONS. I hope you have been well Amanda.

  3. Man, if I could lay in bed all day...it would be bliss, hehe.

What's going on: I just started a new job. I feel nervous, but the person training me is great. I can't complain; I am liking my new job so far.

As far as melting goes; got any Super Tarts?

    1. Oh subaru! I am right there with you. But if I am to be honest, I have been very down lately so staying in bed is what I do any chance I get at the moment. Congrats on your new job!! That is awesome. Glad you have a sweet trainer, those things make all the difference. I hope you continue to enjoy your new job and it becomes a huge blessing for you. I have an interview tomorrow that I am a little nervous for, but if it is meant to be it will right?

Ooooo Super Tarts. I had a few clamshell chunks and loaf chunks a friend gave me but I melted them on the sly. Banner, Snape and Hargrid. They were all good but Snape and Banner were my favorites. I will snoop around in my stash and see if I have any more. I have not ordered from Super Tarts since the Leon Day sampler last summer. That feels like forever ago. Do you have any Super Tart favorites?

  4. Oh these pictures are just beautiful! Really making me want to make a purchase with TBG! Very tempted. You have Hagrid!? Oh you must do a review! I have been wanting to try this scent for so long but every time I try to snag it in a restock I am always to late! I bet it smells wonderful.

    1. Thanks! I struggle with taking melted photos, as it is usually with my phone and in horrible lighting so I just don't even sweat it anymore. I will tell you about Hargrid right now if you want... I already melted it. It reminded me a bit of Vintage Chic Scents Sweeney scent. A berry and shaving cream clean aroma. It was not as strong as VCS to my nose but I am not aware of how old it was either. Not too old I don't believe. A nice sweet and clean scent that threw about medium-light. <3 Hope you are doing well! Off to read your blog!
