If you would like me to review any of these in depth, just let me know which ones and I will be happy to do so, just for you. My basket, she be large. I am in the throws of summer melting rhapsody. I am home and my warmers are on all day long.

I can't believe how fast June flew by. It has been nice to hang out with my girls, visit a few parks and get some home projects done. My reading took a hit which is unusual for summer but I have hope yet to get some reading done.

For the 4th of July we are going to hit the beach in the morning, grill some hotdogs there and then come back home for pizza and fireworks. We normally don't do much for the 4th, but my mom is off work this year and wanted to do something fun.

We still have to finish painting our master bedroom and bath, and I have some birchwood waiting to become a bookshelf, but other than that I plan on using July to read and experience more adventures with my girls. I also would like to experiment some in the kitchen. I plan on making homemade marinara and pasta, as well as homemade marshmallows, for the first time this coming week.

I do have some wax hauls coming! I know I have been slow on those lately, but I was melting my stash and then Deb enabled me into building my fall drawer in my wax storage. We are planning some fun fall post series.

What are your plans for July? Do you celebrate the 4th? Any traditions? Have you ever made homemade marinara or pasta? Any tips? Have a great week my lovelies!

  1. These murals are beautiful.

I have been meaning to ask you if there are any buy/sell groups for wax that are popular.

    1. I love street art. And murals are some of my favorite. My sister took me to see the cat wall, she knew I would appreciate it!

Yes! There are a few wax destash groups on Facebook. I am not in any of them but I have been from time to time. I tend not to buy destashes because I am so picky but try Destash Your Wax and search "destash wax" on Facebook for more. I am making you a box to send out this week with a few goodies. I have a couple RAOK boxes to mail that I just need to sit down and pack up and address. I made sure to add some earthy ones and personal favorites. <3

I ordered a couple rings from Stray Arrow by the by. <3

    2. Ooh, yay! I have another week or two left in the Valhalla queue and I am down to a couple scents in your box.

I love to browse Stray Arrow pieces and she takes great pictures!! You are doing the ring thing now! Like you I am still a fledgling compared to those in the group but it is fun.

  2. We try to do a little something on the 4th, at least grill some burgers and shoot off a few fireworks. It sucks though, that this person goes to bed early and all the real fun comes later. lol

Those votives by Root . . . I've never heard of Root. Is it indie, or retail?

I had to chuckle at the cinnamon one. Patience, grasshopper. =P

    1. That will be nice! I always make Adam buy the Morning Glory sparklers. Those are my favorite. We go to bed early too.

The company used to be call A.I. Root and they are based out of Ohio. I went to their main store when I was 19. They dropped the A.I. at some point and are now just called Root. They sell Root in the local Ace Hardware store and at the Sand Dollar gift shop I go to on Anna Maria Island. They tend to be in gift shops. This particular scent is special to me since I burned it during my wedding weekend. I felt a little sentimental. They do sell wax tarts but not in Paradise.

I AM SO EXCITED! Deep Dish Apple Pie from CLK has me huffing the bag every so often. I might end up melting that one soon too.
