719 Walnut Avenue Candle: Walk in the Woods

So I finally made a concerted effort to seek out the 719 Walnut Avenue candles that mysteriously lie in the cleaning aisle of Walmart rather than the traditional wax tart and candle area in the store. What's up with that? This Walk in the Woods one smells like a dupe of Bath & Body Works Leaves and if not dead on then purt near close, so naturally, I needed to scoop it up for testing purposes. At $4.93, it is easy to scoop up a few if needed.

Walk in the Woods- Stroll through maple and birch woods, brightened by tangy pomegranate, juniper and orange.

The throw was a little on the lighter side for my living room, maybe about a medium-light to light. So I moved it into my bedroom. Soft sweet nectar and apples with a pinch of spice. I would repurchase to have on hand but not to replace my Bath & Body Works Leaves.

Have you smelled this? Does it remind you of Leaves or another scent? Did you bring home any 719 Walnut Avenue candles this fall?

  1. I can't say anything about this particular candle but I do love the 719 Walnut Ave candles in general. I've read that they are made by the same company that makes BBW candles, kinda like the same company makes both Scentsationals and Better Homes & Gardens. I haven't bought any of the fall ones this year because I have some leftovers from last year.

    1. I am enjoying them too. Some are a little lighter but I love the scents and styling and that they mesh well with the BBW candles. I thought I remembered you mentioning they might be made by the same company. It makes sense. They certainly smell that way. I just wonder why the strength difference. The price maybe? Have you started burning them yet?

  2. I haven't found this scent yet; I will have to look for it! I do like Leaves, so I'm sure I'd like this. I have tried many other 719 scents and they have strong throw for me in my small rooms. For me they have definitely replaced certain BBW scents since I could buy 4 for less than the price of 1 regularly priced BBW candle. Pumpkin Waffles = PPW, Caramel Cinnamon Roll = Caramel Pumpkin Swirl and Mahogany Driftwood = Mahogany Teakwood. Those are some of my favorite scents for fall. Now if they just make a Pumpkin Coconut dupe I'll be set!

    1. It is really nice. I could see myself getting more. There was a Farmer Market type of scent, maybe Country Market? It was very fruity though so I passed on it but my little girl loved it. I may get one for her. Yes, they are certainly more affordable at full price, but I never ever buy BBW at full price. I usually spend about $8 on my BBW candles, so these are about $3 cheaper, but with the throw difference I prefer the BBW. Although, these are nice and I do like them as backup singers if you will. Yes! A Pumpkin Coconut dupe would be fabulous!!! Or some of the newer scents. Hopefully they will expand the line.

    1. I am not sure where in the UK to buy this candle but this one was offered at Walmart stores but it is also very very similar to the Leaves fragrance that Bath & Body Works carries if you have those over there. I hope this helps.
