Candy Panda Scrub: Starry Night

I finally place my first Candy Panda scrub order! Woot!

Candy Panda restocks periodically and sells out very fast. I caught a Facebook announcement that they were open so I swooped in and grabbed this Starry Night scrub that houses a pink peppermint fragrance and cost $12.00 plus $9.75 shipping. I saw some people got refunded shipping charges but I didn't though maybe that was for larger orders. Mine could have fit easily into a regional A box and shipped for less but came in a pretty huge box. I do know shipping is a bane for most vendors and they end up going flat rate so I am not too picky about it.

I love the scent and the minty tingle that this scrub leaves behind. The formula is nice and squeaky clean. It rinses off fully and leaves no reside. The texture is mild yet scrubby with a medium sugar grain size. It didn't bubble but exfoliated and foamed nicely. I wouldn't call it an emollient formula, it won't leave your skin moisturized but it will leave it smooth and polished.

I quite enjoy this scrub and it is in my current rotation. I would not hesitate to buy more.

I got two free wax samples which was very nice and appreciated. Elf Sweat (which is a candy fizzy scent) and Spiced Apples & Peaches (which I adore from Candy Panda). Stephanie's tarts throw very well.

Join the Candy Panda Facebook group or follow along in Instagram to keep posted on openings and restocks. What are some of your favorite Candy Panda scents? I seriously need to get in on some more wax tarts. Love them.

  1. Those are some stunning tarts. I've not managed to partake in the Candy Panda goodness. I always seem to be busy or asleep when they open. >_< If Elf Sweat is like TBG's rendition, then I would love it!

Have you tried using this on your face? It sounds like a nice morning scrub for those days when I reeeeally need help waking up.

    1. They are! I enjoy that tie dye look. I think I first saw that look with Fuss Ass McGee. Makes for a pretty tart. This is same Elf Sweat oil that most vendors carry, like TBG's. It is a fun, strong scent!!

I have not used it on my face. There are a few sparse coarse grains in it. But I would use Shannon's on my face. This one is a little more rough. Great for feet and knees and elbows.

    2. Hey! Liz! In the shower tonight I took a lil scoop of TBG Snow Globe something or other and used it on my face and it felt AMAZING. A little minty tingle and finer scrubiness. My skin feels so soft. She still has it up for sale but I don't think for too much longer.

  2. I loved my Starry Night scrub! Just finished mine up this month after having it for what seems like forever.. I have used it in small portions to hoard it! ha-ha The pink peppermint was just wonderful and seemed to just get better and better with age.

Liz, I would be worried to use this on your face unless you added some water to it to kind of soften it a bit before hand. I find it a bit abrasive if you don't soften it a little but that could just be me.

    1. Good to know!! I may set mine aside then for a little and use up some older ones and let this one simmer.

I agree. A little too coarse for the face but the idea of mint face scrub sounds blissful to me!

  3. Oh boo, shipping nonsense bums me out. But totally not an issue for me, because Candy Panda's another vendor that doesn't ship to Canada (if you can even get your hands on the stuff to begin with; back when I used to be on IG, I saw the craziness that went down on restock day - kinda bonkers.) That sounds super yummy, though, and perfect for the holiday season.

    1. I wish more vendors shipped internationally for you. I know filling out customs is an extra step but if the buyer pays shipping I wouldn't think it would be that bad. At least you can get RG <3

Are you gearing up for the holidays?? I am excited.

    2. Totally gearing up for the holidays - been gettin' my tree on the past few days (both my husband and I are really sick at the moment, so we've been slogging through it in stages.) Bah, blasted pre-Christmas cold! Got all your goodies up yet?

And I also wish more vendors shipped to Canada, obviously, but I do get the desire to sidestep all the hassle. But the ones who do are pretty superb (lots of Rosegirls, today's Sniff My Tarts-a-palooza, so I'm covered.) :)

  4. Glad you are enjoying your first CP scrub! I am thoroughly enjoying mine too. I also love CP waxes and I did get a sample of Spiced Apples & Peaches and thought it was phenomenal! I was surprised I liked it as much as I did; apple and spice scents are hit or miss for me. My other sampler was Fir Sure and if you love pine scents this one is super strong and realistic.
