Fall Fun Series: Sparkling Amber Candle

This is the second year I have bought and burned Sparkling Amber from Bath & Body Works. A wax pool forms quickly and deeply with strong wicks and an even burn. The throw is medium, soft in the rooms but noticeable and pleasant without being obnoxious. Sparkling Amber is not a powdery or resinous amber but rather sweet and vanilla filled. Fluid and silky. I love it.

Probably not a tradition fall candle for most people but I quite enjoy the delicate warmth it brings into my home this time of year. I bought this for around $8 during a candle sale with an additional discount using a coupon. Well worth it and a repurchase indeed.

Are you burning any candles right now? I have a Marshmallow Fireside that is struggling like mad in my bedroom. The one with the girl blowing snow flakes from her mittens into the camera. Ugh. Such a sad Sally. I am thinking of cutting it up and melting it in my warmers if it doesn't tighten up.

  1. I totally understand being frustrated with the BBW candles because that is how I have felt as of late. PUNY DROWNING WICKS! lol. Not giving up though because they do usually have a great throw.

    1. Isn't weird how wide the quality gap can be?! They either burn perfectly or like a hot mess. I think of giving up every time the prices creep higher and higher but as long as I can get them for $12 or less per candle with sales I don't mind. I pay a lot more than that for other candles. I think I may need a couple winter ones. I love this time of year because I am inundated with BBW coupons! WOOT!

  2. Hmm...we share a love for Amber embers. I'll give this one an extra sniff next time I'm in BBW. Although, I do prefer the powdery, resinous ambers, all amber is good amber to me. I just picked up a Marshmallow Fireside, thanks for the warning, eek!

    1. Yes! High five amber loving sister!! It is one of my favorite notes in home and personal fragrance. I love it in all its iterations too. Mmmmm so beautiful and comforting yet mysterious. This year's Marshmallow Fireside might be good. I have not burned it yet but this one I am currently burning is from back when they were still $20.00 each. The good old days. LOL!

  3. This candle seems to be hiding from me. I've never owned it and I don't think I've ever even smelled it. But you've sold me on it! It sounds lovely. I've been holding out for the $8 candle sale this year, it is like candle Christmas to me!

    1. Oh man! I hope you can find it to at least smell it. I burned it all day today and it was heavenly. $8 candle sale is sounding pretty darn good. Do you know when about it might be? I missed it last year. And I would love some Christmas and winter scents. I hope you are well Angela! <3
