Blended With Love Wax Melts

These wax tarts were sent free of charge for an honest review.

Blended With Love Wax Melts operates out of Esty and is run by Ashley, a sweet lady who creates RTS wax tarts in a variety of shapes and scents right here in the Sunshine State. She sent me a box of goodies to try out and review.

Sweet Sandalwood wax brittle smells exactly like its moniker. Soft, almost amber leaning sandalwood with a touch of vanilla sugar. I split the whole bag between two warmers in my large living area and kitchen and got a medium-strong throw. This bag weighed 3.4 ounces and runs $3.50.

Cucumber Wasabi Cilantro is a totally new blend to my nose. Cucumber normally comes across as too watery for my liking, but the slight lime zest, herbal green cilantro, and dash of salt from the wasabi really livens up the cucumber. I would never in a million years picked this one out for myself but I am glad she sent it, as it is pretty dern good. I split the bag between two warmers in a large area and got a medium to medium-strong throw. This bag was 3 ounces even.

This tart is in Pumpkin Apple Pie and smells delicious. No spice, squashy pumpkin and dulcet caramel apples. I am not sure how much this would cost as I do not see this particular shape on her site at the moment but it weighs 2 ounces. I split it among two warmers, I only got a medium-light to light throw in the larger areas but to be fair it was only an ounce of wax each and normally I melt more in my warmers.

A classic cupcake in Black Raspberry Vanilla. Sweet candied blackberries accompanied by vanilla musk. I am saving this beauty for a giveaway. This 3.3 ounce cupcake costs $4.00.

Ahhhhh, my beauty, Pink Sugar. I like trying Pink Sugar from new vendors as it can be a tricky scent to get a good throw out of unless you picked the right oil. On cold, this smelled like a nice dupe. And when warmed it threw strong and remained a lovely example of Pink Sugar. It lasted several hours and I still have another half of the scoop to looking forward to melting. Excellent! This pink scoop of ice cream weighs 3.1 ounces and costs $4.50.

Teeny weensy hearts in Lemon Custard, weighing 0.8 ounce. I popped these lil fellas in my guest bathroom warmer and they gave off a medium-light throw of tart lemon curd and a deep caramel note.

Pros:
- Nice quality scents
- Cute shapes
- Ready To Ship, fast TAT
- Wax items were packed with care

Cons:
- Pricing seems all over the place as far as per ounce
- Labels are on a paper heart inside the bag, so not easily seen
-Curling ribbon as ties (I tend to prefer zip top or resealable bags for wax)

Overall, this is a nice new wax vendor that I plan on revisiting. I fell in love with the Sweet Sandalwood and I would like to try her Teakwood & Cardamom. The Pink Sugar blew me away too. Have you tried Blended With Love?

  1. As I was reading, I thought that Sweet Sandalwood sounded lovely and was a great cost/oz. But then I saw what you meant about all over for the rest of it. I'd totally be into both SS and The Cucumber Cilantro, I love when cuke isn't mixed with melon. That pink sugar scoop takes me back to my play-doh ice scream shoppe maker-it looks good enough to eat. -Jay

    1. I agree... the cucumber with the melon is just too watery. Ew. But with herbs and salt and a little kick it was nice! The scoop was pretty much perfection in its shape and realism. I loved it. I think I will melt the other half tonight. And try not to eat it. Buy boy oh boy does ice cream sound good.

  2. I have not tried this vendor, or even heard of it until reading this post. Always fun to try new ones! Bummer the scents were light. How long has she been around, do you know?

    1. It is fun to try new ones! A couple were light but more were medium to strong so that made me happy and not overly concerned. I think I would just be picky about the ones I bought. She started her Etsy shop in 2016 and has just over 100 sales so, pretty new. Not sure how long she has been making wax though.

  3. They look so pretty! Sweet Sandalwood sounds delectable.

I noticed she has raised the prices on some things you posted about. Mainly the brittle. I'll probably sit this vendor out until she's more stable and established.

    1. It was pretty nice!!

Did she?? I believe my prices were true about a day before being published. That stinks. Raising is never good. LOL!
