Bath & Body Works: Flannel Candle

Candles!!!! Hello beautiful friends, candle season is upon me and I have been burnin' the wicks. First up is a lovely lil' ditty, Flannel by Bath & Body Works. I purchased this on sale and used a coupon. It came out to just over $8, normally $22.50.

Flannel- Crisp Autumn air, bergamot, heirloom mahogany and soft musk.
This is a great home atmosphere candle. It burned wonderfully with strong wicks and will-o-the-wisp flames that bobbed merrily. This is the type of fresh air and woods scent that I can get on board with. The bergamot lends a sparkling fresh breeze that twirls about the stand of mahogany woods. Golden ivory skies, musky woods and fresh cut mahogany. Lovely. I get about a medium to medium-light throw from this candle in a very large and open space. In my smaller bedroom it is a strong scent.

Cozy up to some Flannel this fall if you enjoy woodsy fresh scents.

Are you excited to burn anything this month?

  1. We don't seem to have much luck with BBW candles being strong enough in our big living room, which is the only room we burn candles in.

We've started burning the first of our fall 719 Walnut Ave candles, the apple one. I'm a little bummed that it's not as good at the 719s have always been for me. It burns fine but the scent seems to have the hot wax note drifting out with it. Not enough to ditch the candle, but just enough to but a bummer.

    1. That sucks. It can be hit or miss for me sometimes but usually they throw well in general for my living area.

I am sorry to hear about the waxy note on your 719. I know those are your go to candles this time of year. I smelled a few when I was picking up my BHG tarts but none of them called to me. They were missing the one I really liked last year that smelled like BBW Leaves. Pooh sticks. I am excited to burn the Glade you you gave me though. It smells fabulous on cold!

  2. I bought my first dw Home candles the other week, Warm Tobacco Pipe and Sandalwood Myrrh. I've never heard of the brand before, but they smelled amazing on cold, so we'll see how they do all lit up. :)

    1. Warm Tobacco Pipe and Sandalwood Myrrh??? Those both sound amazing. Where do you by DW Home candles? There are a few Paddywax candles I want to give a spin here soon. Let me know if those candles end up performing well for you. <3

    2. I found them at a local Marshalls/TJ Maxx, but they can be found on their website- I had to do some research when I saw them, since I don't really know much about candles. ;)

  3. I'm burning the last of a BBW Twisted Peppermint from last Christmas. Other than that, it's just wax, wax, wax, but I'm looking forward to some Christmas candles this year. Do you know of any candle scents that smell like balsam and citrus or balsam and fruit? I know my peppermints and other scents of the season, but I don't know my tree scents at all in candle form.

    1. Hmmmm fruit and balsam scents?? Voluspa Gilt Pomander & Hinoki might work, it is a berry and cypress blend I think but probably not what you are doing for... Bath & Body Works 'Tis the Season is a fruity pine blend but way more apple heavy than anything I think you are dreaming of... you know this is a hard one. I am sure Yankee has something but i never get much out of a Yankee candle. I will keep my peepers peeled for a good juicy citrus and balsam type of candle that reminds me of Carol's yummy scent. There has to be one out there.
