Elan Pottery: Fairy Houses

Elan Pottery is run by the talented Leigh Ann Thompson and her family. Her transfer mugs, opaline and pearlescent glazes and crystal mugs turn heads and sell out quickly. After trying for a few I finally gave up and then she did this amazing thing... she introduced a Mug Club and I quickly snapped one up for the 6 month option. Not too soon after that she had a shop update that included these adorable fairy and gnome houses. I grabbed several for the girls and I, as well as for holiday gifting.

A few of them are scattered about various pots and plants on my porch.

I adore the rustic whimsy, the glazes and embossing.

I think the gnomes enjoy it too.

I am looking forward to the new year and half a year's worth of mugs arriving once a month. <3 It will be like Christmas half the year through.

What colors would you like to have a fairy house in? What would you do with one if you had it? The first one to comment their answers will get a fairy house shipped to them from my collection.

  1. I love the white opal fairy house. I'd probably tuck it in a planter....maybe the fairies would help me remember to water ;).

    1. Yay!! You will hopefully get to tuck it into a planter sooner rather than later! I will drop your box off at the post office on Friday. <3 I have a hard time remembering to water too. Thankfully with succulents they don't mind too much. Happy Thanksgiving sweet friend!

    1. Thanks! I fell in love pretty hard when I watched Elan Pottery releasing them and showcasing them on IG. They are so stinking cute.

  3. If a girl's gotta join a mug club, than that's just what she's gotta do! Looking forward to seeing your wares. These are so darling, who could choose? I do love the opal glazes I'm seeing from a lot of potters lately and the cute way the rust colored house matches your gnome's pointy cap:)

    1. This girl did for sure! It was an investment, not gonna lie. But we only go around once so why not go crazy sometimes. I am enjoying the iridescence of the opal glazes too. They look like oil slicks and bubbles and liquid rainbows. So much fun. Happy Thanksgiving Jay!

  4. Oh my gosh, those are so cute! So pretty, too - you're right, those iridescent glazes are to die for. This actually reminds me of when I used to play the Sims. You could play as a fairy - and I did - and they had actual fairy houses they could shrink themselves down into and do all sorts of things in like sleep or drink Fairy Punch (oh my) or throw a raging fairy house party. It was super cute. :) Do you suppose your fairies throw ragers when you're asleep?

    1. LOL! That does sound like a fun way to play. I could dig the fairy virtual world. Mine would be lame and involve lots of sweeping with a twig broom, making acorn cups and firefly lanterns while singing my ladybug pets to sleep and weaving moss carpets for my burrow. My fairies are probably the same. They know we sleep lightly and have ancient souls.

  5. Oh my gosh.. These are too precious. Of course I would probably have to go with the opal as that is my birth stone. Not to mention it gives it a gorgeous glow and hue.

    1. I thought so too! And I simply could not pass them up. Opal! It is such a gorgeous stone. A rainbow in a rock. The darker blackish color shows the opal hues really well in the sunlight. <3 Hope you have been well!

    1. Aw, yay! I am glad you like it! Too funny that you mention having it on your desk at work, we must be twins. I have one on my desk at work too and a student gifted me a fairy figurine for Christmas and she is standing next to it. <3 Hope work is treating you well, friend.
