I can't remember if lemon is a no-go with you, but whatever's going on in Luna is great - it smells like legit lemon-vanilla cream. It's a great one. :)Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14320833098339108738noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2810618299009561680.post-46257743993167978842017-10-14T09:09:07.474-04:002017-10-14T09:09:07.474-04:00YES! Another reason for me to stop by TJ Maxx soon, Seaside Autumn. <3

Oooooo! I will have to check that one out! I liked Wrinkle in Time when I read it a couple years ago but I need to read the rest of them. Mmmm... historical romances. My favorite. Feel free to recommend me some. I just finished Lady Macbeth (the actual medieval Scottish story where the play originated from) and liked it a lot. I finished two smaller books by Alice Hoffman, The Green Angel and The Green Witch, loved both! And now I am reading Blood Magic and it is interesting. Very The Craft-ish. I think next I want to read some mystery/historical romance. Gotta browse the bookshelf.
TheRedolentMermaidhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12025330454820306972noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2810618299009561680.post-800967721799512322017-10-14T08:54:28.629-04:002017-10-14T08:54:28.629-04:00Luna!!! I agree that her packing needs some major upgrading. The flimsy tissue paper and handful of packing peanuts does not cut it. At least you shouldn't have trouble finding homes for the ones that didn't work. But still... money lost and all that. I will comment this weekend. <3TheRedolentMermaidhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12025330454820306972noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2810618299009561680.post-29761801060256134592017-10-12T09:57:40.868-04:002017-10-12T09:57:40.868-04:00I do have a couple of favourites, but overall, my ...I do have a couple of favourites, but overall, my order was kind of a letdown (mostly on the shipping/packing side of things; I'm quite pleased with a lot of the scents, though.) Pippin (satsuma and blue cotton candy, I think?) was a bit of an unexpected favourite, but I like the edge of blue cotton candy with a strong citrus - it's very nice. Psycho (spiced sour cream coffee cake, raspberries and pumpkin bread) is another great one, as is Elm Street (PUMPKIN BAKERY ALL THE THINGS.) It's really quite delicious - a SUPER pumpkin bakery blend, I really love it. And Luna from the Harry Potter side of things, which is vanilla cream and Twilight - think you'd like that one a lot, it's very fresh. Also, it says, "I hope there's pudding" across the top of the label - love Luna's pudding love. :)Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14320833098339108738noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2810618299009561680.post-20532185386812891052017-10-11T21:13:17.816-04:002017-10-11T21:13:17.816-04:00I need to check out Paddywax! I've only seen Seaside Autumn at Home Goods, so check there if you have one nearby (they had several when I was at my local store last weekend), or TJ Maxx/Marshalls.

Just finished listening to The Secret History of Wonder Woman by Jill Lepore which was *fascinating* (tho the author reads it herself & not sure that was the best choice!). I guess it's the basis for the upcoming movie, but from the trailer it seems they may have taken some liberty with the facts. Other than that I've been "comfort reading" with Madeleine L'Engle's Austin family books and a nice, frothy historical romances. What about you? Which ones made it to your to-buy list?

Seaside Autumn sounds like something this Florida girl needs. I enjoy a nice fresh/cologne scent to brighten the home from time to time. I don't mind a light throw sometimes from a cheaper candle for when I want ambience more than a knock-me-down scent. But if I paid a pretty penny, I had better smell it some. :-)

We are still having warm evenings too. By now we should be getting a nice small cold front moving in for a day or two. I hope it comes soon. Hoping your October is going well! <3 Reading anything fun?TheRedolentMermaidhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12025330454820306972noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2810618299009561680.post-45568116561082895672017-10-11T19:41:48.720-04:002017-10-11T19:41:48.720-04:00Thank you! Mine are almost all melted so come the new year I will be looking to restock. <3 Hope you are loving those fall scents and they aren't giving you any trouble. The Jezebel blog just posted requests for readers' favorite candles so I fell down a very deep candle rabbit hole this morning.

We're still on the edge of fall here with warm evenings, so I've been burning Yankee Seaside Autumn, which is more fresh/cologne-y, and finishing up Cost Plus Mexican Pumpkin and Indonesian Teak pillars that I've had a while. Both have very light throw, but are fine in my small living room.
