TeBella Tea Company & Lake Morton

My friend, Tricia (who is a part of a great book review blog) and I had a friend date at The Oxford Exchange a couple of weeks ago, followed by watching the Maze Runner. Having visited The Oxford Exchange previously, I knew I had to come home with some of their fragrant tea. TeBella is the tea of choice at the OE and can be purchased online as well. I came home with three varieties.

Lapsang Souchong- This smokey pine black tea knocks my socks off every time. As a hot tea with a measure of cream, it does not get any better than this for me. I am transported to a cabin tucked into the mountainside. Snow dappled pines framed in the window. Wrapped in a flannel quilt in front of a rustic fire. I may live in Florida, but I can pretend while sipping this hot earthy tea.

Pumpkin Chai- Sweet honeyed pumpkin with cloves and a touch of nutmeg. Beautiful, fragrant chai.

Apple Cider Chai- Apple cider with a bite of a vinegar/acidic tang. This chai is bold and aromatic.

After taking these photos, I swept my teas back into their bags and took the stragglers and made the cup of tea above. A mixture of all three was really great! Today was a brisk, lovely fall day. Our first cold front came through (in the 60-70's today) and it was appreciated! Since the weather was so gorgeous and the in laws were here, we headed downtown to Lake Morton to feed the water fowl.

I hope you had a wonderfully relaxing weekend and created some beautiful moments. Do you have a favorite tea? What do you choose to do when the weather is fine?

    1. I packed up the apple cider and pumpkin spice chai teas to take to work. A little midday pick-me-up. I really enjoyed myself that day too. Looking forward to Mockingjay.

  2. How fun! I think I would really enjoy a local tea room.
As I read this, I was sipping a green tea that I infused with a cardamom seed - so comforting.
When the weather finally cools here, I love nothing more than a warm, comfy sweater a great book or movie and the windows cracked just a hair so I can feel and smell the lovely fall air. <3

    1. I bet y'all have some nice ones in your area. Green tea with cardamom sounds delish.

We did the open window thing yesterday and it was so nice. I agree, warm socks, quilt, hot tea and books (or TV/movie) and I am in heaven. Hope you have a good week Sunnee.

  4. Look at those photos! You have quite the eye, Juicy J! Your tea selections sound divine, but mostly the Lapsang Souchong...I am obsessed with a good, strong black tea. If and when you sweeten your tea, what is your preferred method? Are you a honey gal? Stevia? Sugar? Or maybe a fancy agave nectar? Your description is simply stunning, I can just imagine both sipping tea and gossiping in a cabin with the other waxy gals! Enjoy your colder weather! :)

    1. Oh Lauren!!! We need a Smelly Sister meet up. Green tea is sweetened with honey. I usually don't sweeten black tea but I do use some cream. If I feel like it needs something sweet I will use real sugar. I am not a fan of fake things like artificial sugar or margarine or such. Gimme real butter and sugar. :-)
