Sephora: Christmas Gift Card & Stocking Stuffers

Come to mama!

Santa stuffed my stocking with a few great Sephora goodies and a gift card present helped me to purchase my much coveted Urban Decay Naked 3 pallet.

Urban Decay Naked 3 Pallet came with samples of all four Urban Decay eyeshadow primer shades and a nice double ended brush. I passed the primers on since I have not even broke into the primers from my Naked 2 pallet a few years ago.

I am thrilled with the hues and color payoff. Most of the shadows feel silky and look rich. The mattes are not chalky at all (Strange, Limit, and Nooner) but the more glittery ones (Dust, Buzz and Trick) do have a bit of fallout when applied. Dust is probably my least favorite in the bunch, with it's clumpy whitish specks of glitter. I swoon over Blackheart's coopery glitter in a rich chocolate brown base. The taupe leaning Mugshot and Darkside are beautiful as well.

Bliss Lemony Trinkets: Lemon + Sage Soapy Suds and Body Butter duo smells lemony clean with a smidge of green from the sage. The lotion moisturizes with a thin cream that floats gently into the skin leaving no trace behind other than a slight coolness. I have plans to tote this set along with us when we go to West Palm Beach in the spring (Adam won a free two night getaway in a golf tournament- yahoo!). I think it will do well at the beach.

Josie Maran Whipped Argan Oil Body Butter in Sweet Citrus makes for a lovely summer skin soother. The consistency is light and silky with quick absorption. The scent reminds me of a sweet sticky pink grapefruits and electric orange segments, energizing and pretty.

Urban Decay Naked Skin Beauty Balm quite surprised me, lurking there in my stocking. I never know what Adam will choose to pick up in a store. I did not notice a shade anywhere on the box or bottle so I am assuming one shade fits all type of thing. It is a medium beige tone that blends effortlessly into my skin. It blends so well in though, that it really has no coverage. It felt soothing and dewy on my skin. I will happily use this up on weekends when I am running to the grocery store or relaxing around the house for the skin benefits and SPF but I probably would not purchase this again. I am too devoted to my NARS Tinted Moisturizer when lighter coverage is preferred.

Did you get any Sephora surprises for Christmas? Take advantage of their extra 20% off sale items? How about those Naked pallets >elbow nudge, eye brow raise< Eh? Eh?

  1. woohoo!! what a great sephora haul!! I love the naked 3 pallet!! my favorites are: dust, burnout, buzz, & factory (glitter ALL the time! lol). If you haven't tried the primers, you should give them a whirl. I wasn't too keen on them at first, but then my lil sis showed me how awesome they are.. I have my own coveted tube in "sin".

    1. Nice!!! Do you do a wash of one color or play a little with crease colors and such?

I have a tube of Too Faced primer to get through and then the UD sampler pack from the older pallet is next in line. Somehow I got stocked up on eye primers. I have a full tube of UD primer and another Too Faced after that. And some Tarte ones too 0_o

Want to hear something crazy? Now that I have 2 and 3..... The original wants to join the collection.

    2. I've been playing around with color.. but when I'm in a hurry I just slap 1 on..lol. you are like the queen of primer!!
it's not crazy at all.. I mean obviously if you have 2/3 that's closer than 1/3...(thankfully I only have 1, and feel no immediate desire to acquire more...yet....lol

    1. Hi Kim! Hope your year is starting out well! I struggle with acne more in my mid 30's than I ever did as a teen, so I feel ya.

I bet she loved it! Isn't it pretty? You are the best mom! I hope you got lots of hugs <3

    1. Hi JackieO! Hope your New Year is going swell! I am really loving this pallet too. Trick is a fun golden copper that I think will go well with Half Baked for me. I need to come up with a look using those two.
