Christmas Day Gifts

This Christmas brought a bunch of whimsy to my home. My mother-in-law asked what I wanted for Christmas this year and I sent her some links to Pottery Barn for various ornaments and I thrilled to have them! These first two are cute little diorama ornaments with a vintage feel. It is hard to tell but they both have twinkle fairy lights in them.

I also received two felt, decidedly bookish, mice.

A cat wearing antlers arrived to dwell in our tree as well.

Adam had all sorts of fun things waiting on me under the tree like these glass chimes, which sound amazing, and this gnome holding a solar powered lantern. His name is Norbert. He is bookish too. I hope all these books foreshadow much reading to come in the new year.

Santa filled my stocking with a wonderful assortment of beauty, teas, gum, chocolate and knickknacks.

The Dida Metals two stone ring and the Arrok sparrow earrings were some of my very favorite surprises.

What items were waiting for you under the tree?

  1. Love the kitty wearing antlers ornament! I like all of them but that one is my favorite. Norbert is cute but that pic is creepy, with him staring into my soul like that... *quietly breaks eye contact and steps away*

We've started saving salsa jars, pickle jars, other smallish jars, with ideas of doing little diorama type things like your ornaments. Of course we all these grand ideas for doing different ones for all seasons and holidays but, ha, we'll see. Also have to figure out where to get a lot of teeny lights that aren't too expensive.

I mostly got books and wax this year, and that's okay with me! :)

    1. Thanks! It is so whimsical!

LOL! Awwww poor Norbert is trying to catch a lady's eye. He is quite the gentleman.

How cute and what a great idea. I will start saving some too so I can make some for next year. And your idea of doing them for other holidays is great too. There were quite a few fairy lights on sale after Christmas at Target. I might see if I can find some at Hobby Lobby too.

Books and wax are a great pair and make for brilliant gifts!! How fun!

    1. Merry Christmas! Oooooo! An electric blanket?! How nice! What Teavana flavors did you get? How sweet of hubby to get you things to keep you comfy cozy. Are you going to use your BBW gift card during SAS? I haven't stopped by mine so I have no idea if there is anything good going on. Glad your Christmas was a nice one! Cheers!
