It's been too long my dear Leaves, far too long since your apple and nectar and soft spice effluvia graced my home.
I popped in the old Bath & Body Works a week ago and picked up Leaves and Marshmallow Fireside since I had a fall candle hankering. At first, the pretty white rendition of Leaves with the tumbling foliage wreathing the glass jar caught my attention but for some reason this more standard edition with the darker taupe wax smelled a touch stronger on cold so you know what a die hard candle lover goes for... the stronger throw.
Leaves- Crisp red apple, golden nectar, warm clove spice.
I got a solid medium throw from this lone candle in my large, airy living room. More tall with cathedral ceilings than wide but a lot of space to fill. A sweet golden amber sap base to a soft woody clove and Macintosh apple blend. Glad I picked it up. It is complimented nicely by the 719 Walnut Avenue Walk in the Woods scent burning in my kitchen. $22.50 full price but I bought this for around $8 with a sale and coupon. I would repurchase for sure.
Next on my Bath & Body Works candle wish list is Pumpkin Woods and maybe that Mahogany and Apple scent. Do you enjoy the perennial favorite that is Leaves? What Bath & Body Works candles are really ringing your chimes right now?
I enjoy Leaves but don't have one right now. I do have a great wax dupe of it from Starry Skies. She came out with a ton of great BBW dupes for fall. My Pumpkin Coconut 3-wicks arrived yesterday, yayyyyyy! Along with a Beach Nights Summer Marshmallow mist. I already had the body cream and I can't get enough of it. It seems to be the ideal blend of sweet and fresh for me and one of the few BBW scents that lingers on my skin.
ReplyDeleteYay!! Glad your Pumpkin Coconut candles arrived. Those were a great deal. I am spying another candle sale and hope to swing by tomorrow and use the coupon I have on a couple. Pumpkin Woods for sure. That Beach Nights scent sounds like a marshmallow fireside a little. Buy maybe because I associate beach nights with bonfires. Hm. I will see if I can still smell some.
DeleteI really wanted to sniff Pumpkin Woods but I didn't see it when I was there bought Cranberry Woods and Leaves. I did heavily consider Mahogany Apple because I do really like Mahogany Teakwood. But since I wasn't as impressed with Mahogany Coconut, I passed on it. I can't believe the 2 I bought didn't involve pumpkin!
ReplyDeleteIt is good!!! Now... if you DID pick it up you still wouldn't technically have bought any pumpkin candles because Pumpkin Woods has no pumpkin. The notes are cedar, clove and spruce and smoky vanilla. Super dupe schmexy. Stinks to hear mahogany coconut was poor. I picked up Sparkling Amber as my second candle. But I may still try out mahogany apple. Maybe. Unless you get it first and say it's bad LOL!
