Super Tarts: Fright Night

Super Tarts Fight Night restock opened in mid-September. These were project to be shipped around the 17th of October, but came late due to delays. I got them a day or so before Halloween.

As usual, Brandy packages with detail and thoughtfulness. She included candy, erasers, a free sample sneak peek at a holiday scent, and the scent description list.

Beetlejuice clamshell (x 2)- Apple butter, Oatmeal Cookies with Icing and Buttermilk Pancakes. Mmm! I ordered two because one is a gift for my sister, Heather, who adores Beetlejuice as much as I do. Michael Keaton is the bee's knees. This does smell delicious, Macintosh apples swimming in an extra spicy cinnamon sauce. Thankfully the oatmeal cookies are not too dry and oaty. The cookies and pancakes create more of a doughnut effect to my nose.

Hocus Pocus clamshell- Candy Corn, Fluffly Cotton Candy, and Butterbrickle. I am getting some plastic from the clamshell I think. But the top portion smells like sweet candy and caramel. I think I might repackage it and smell it later.

Magically Delicious clamshell- Brandy's in house Lucky Charms blend. Still smells like rich vanilla cookies and marshmallows to me. Very good crowd pleasing blend.

Free Sample:
White Christmas- Brandy's description: Peppermint frosted cranberries, serendipity and vanilla bean gelato. I love the creative blending but I still can't do the candied cranberry and mint combo. I don't mind peppermint and serendipity or vanilla but the cranberry just kills it for me. I will find it a good home for sure. It is a quality tart, no doubt.

Super Tarts will open again on Black Friday and Small Business Saturday for holiday orders. There have been lags in TAT due to illness, power outages and such and these things happen, but if you have your heart set on these as Christmas gifts or melting leading up to the big day, please keep that in mind. But if you are open to extended TAT's  and just want quality tarts with creative blends and strong throws, you should certainly try Super Tarts out. Have you ordered from Super Tarts lately? What scent blends do you enjoy from Super Tarts?

  1. I just melted a SuperTart last night ;) I love the scent descriptions list that is sent out with the orders.
I have no problem waiting for wax but I don't think I would order a themed holiday set and not have time to melt it.
Brandy is definitely a top tier wax maker but I understand the frustration with her shipping and constant delays.

    1. Yum! Was it one you posted on IG? I do wish more vendors who do specialty openings would include a mini scent list. It really is genius.

I will wait months for orders, no sweat. But yes. If I am ordering for a specific holiday and am under the impression it will be there by then but isn't... Well it kinda stinks. I know things come up. Life happens.

  2. I agree with Sunnee! I have enjoyed the Fright Night package but I do feel a bit silly burning Hocus Pocus into November.

    1. Yeah :-/ I have not melted mine yet. I am thinking about saving them for next year. But who knows I may change my mind. Magically delicious is a great year round scent. But the others are pretty seasonal for me. I am definitely a seasonal melter. Glad you liked them though!! Excited you ordered!

  3. I have to agree with Sunnee and Darby...lots of people are seasonal melters, and a name or ingredient might deter people from melting a particular scent after a certain holiday. Her TAT isn't an issue, but there seem to always be a lot of excuses. She does make really great wax with amazingly creative blends, but I could see people being turned off by her delays and practices. The few things I have melted from her I have generally liked. Magically Delicious sounds amazing. Enjoy your goodies! <3

    1. I concur. Her blends are really unique and the throw is generally great but man. Delays can be party poopers.
