Influenster: Lancome Visionnaire Crescendo Night Peel

These Lancome products were given to me free from Influenster for testing purposes.

If you have been following along, then you know I am firmly entrenched in my skincare obsession phase. So when this Influenster box landed on my doorstep, I was over the moon excited to begin this new routine.

This Lancome Influenster box included: Lancome Visionnaire Crescendo Dual-Phase Night Peel ($75), Bienfait UV 50+ Suncreen ($39), and a Matte Shaker High Pigment Liquid Lipstick in Pink Power ($22).

The Visionnaire Crescendo Peel is housed in a one ounce tube, split into two halves. The top half houses Phase 1 to be used for 14 days. This 1/2 ounce portion contains bio-acids to improve the skin's texture and radiance. About 3-4 pumps should be applied to a clean face at night, with normal skin care moisturizing to follow if desired. I found the scent to be lush and perfumy, very high-end fragrance smelling. It is thin and runny so be prepared to keep this precious liquid from dripping straight though your fingers. I did notice my skin liked this phase, I could see a faint luminance after using for several days. After 14 days (there was still a decent amount of Phase 1 leftover after 14 days) I flipped the tube and began using Phase 2, which is blue in color and should have warned me of the icy blast of tingle and warming to come. Same great scent with a menthol leaning. This phase contains much stronger acids such as derma-acids, glycolic acid and salicylic acid. There is a definite cooling/warming sensation after applying this but I don't mind those tingles, if you are sensitive to them, beware. Also, make sure to use a strong sunscreen while doing this peel as there are AHAs.

Ok... onto the before and after photos. These were taken with zero makeup and zero retouching/filters/whatever and in natural lighting. Naked as a jaybird. My skin concerns: fine lines, discoloration, redness, acne scarring.

Before. This was an afternoon photo after bathing so I am more "awake" looking.

After. This is a morning photo after a shower so I still have my morning puffy eyelids. Please excuse. Part of aging. :-)

I am happy with my results. They are subtle, but who is expecting miracles? I did notice blurring of mico-lines (you can see some around my eyes lessen) and fading of some scars. I did have my normal cycle break out during this process, so a couple of new scars, but the older ones faded nicely (like the ones on the right side of my lower lip). I still have a few days left of my Phase 2. I plan on taking a break from this routine for a few months, but then using up the remainder of my product and then, yes, I will probably buy this again.

The sunscreen is great. I used it every morning before applying my makeup and going to work. It is runny and you do have to shake the bottle. The nozzle is tiny. But it smells great and works well. My biggest plus... it is oil free.

The Lip Shaker is cool. I have eyed these before but never sprang for one. This is a very bright shade of pink for my personal tastes but I might wear it for a fun night out. The matte formula is staining so make sure you really want to wear it, it will be lasting quite a while. Not drying, but not moisturizing either. I quite like the fat sponge applicator but I can see it might not work for everyone.

I would try the glossier shades in more neutral tones.

Overall, I am very happy with these new Lancome offerings. I will be continuing my Visionnaire Night Peel routine in bliss. The Matte Lip Shaker is nice but I do wish I could have had a more wearable shade so I could really delve into it. The sunscreen is fabulous. Have you used any of these products? Do you enjoy peels? Have any Lancome favorites?
