New Page!

There is a new addition to the blog: a wax reference page! If you would like to add suggestions/comments/topics to be covered, please let me know. It is intended as more of a jumping off point for newbies to wax. It can be quite confusing and overwhelming diving into the vendor wax pond. The link to the new page is under the header.

Enjoy!

  1. Nice little info page. I laughed at the section about cure time, wondering which way you were gonna go on it. lol

    1. Thanks! You know, so much is subjective! I used to be a firm believer in cure time but SOME lady got me playing around and experimenting with it ;-) I had so many folks wondering when the wax was going to evaporate that I figured a 101 page might help some.

    2. The evaporating thing is funny. I actually saw a new-to-wax vendor hyping up her stuff by saying it lasts sooooo long, with such minimal amounts being 'evaporated' each time it's melted. Really?? Coming from a *vendor*?! LOL

    3. That is funny! Disturbing, but funny. I don't get how new waxies can put out a product so fast. Before they even know about the product. It makes me wary to try new vendors.

    4. Exactly. For me there is a bit of a 'judge a book by its cover thing' when it comes to new vendors. If things are messy and inconsistent, I get a feeling that they're in it for the money. Sloppy packaging and presentation hints to me that this is not a person who takes the time go make things right. Then again, beautiful packaging could also mask lackluster product, but hey, at least it all looks good. Bad, I know! But really, don't you ever feel that way?

    5. I feel exactly that way. I figure if someone has taken the time to think out and produce a beautiful product, packaging and line then the odds are better than what is inside will be good. Even if it is minimalists (TDC) it is still very well done and not shoddy tarts throw in a bag. Most of the time :-) I kinda wish I could market for SMT. They have a great product but no branding.

    1. Thanks Sunnee! Hoping I didn't miss too much. It is hard to try and remember what was confusing... But then again, I still get confused on how to order from whom. Hope you have a great day friend!
