The Candle Lab: Baked Bread Candle

This candle was sent by The Candle Lab in exchange for an honest review.

The Candle Lab sent me a lovely box full of smell goods: a candle, room spray and four clamshells. I will be reviewing them all this week.

The Candle Lab is a really neat concept store in Ohio with three locations, where you can create your own home fragrance blends. Jacqui, my friend from The Scholarly Nail's Wax Blog, sent me a few to try not so long ago. They all performed exceptionally well.

This candle is 8 ounces of natural soy scented in Baked Bread. It burned with a strong dancing flame and pooled to the edges in about an hour or so. The scent filled the entire office and crept out into the kitchen and living area. My daughter exclaimed "cookies!" when she twirled into the room. It does not quite have the sweetness of cookies but the fresh baked part is on point. It has the French baguette vibe of crusty, warm and a teeny hint of yeast. Very much a home comfort scent.

I would absolutely purchase a candle from The Candle Lab. In fact, their Hippy Mix gift pack of four 2 ounce candles (Incense, Cannabis, Patchouli, and Sandalwood) for $21 and Warm Amber 8 ounce for $15 want come home to me. I am also eyeing Santa's Pipe, Candy Cane, Black and Tan, and White Christmas. You can order single scent options of candles and clamshells online, but if you wish to blend you may do so by ordering by phone (614) 433-9900. Orders over $40 include free shipping.

And as a gift to my readers, some can come home to you too with 20% off using the code mermaid20 until the end of the month.

  1. Oh wow! That sounds like a great candle. I'm having such major issues with some of the major brands of candles. I will have to check them out

  2. This sounds like a wonderful candle company; thanks for sharing your thoughts! This candle reminds me of the BBW French Baguette candle that was so popular a few years ago.

    1. It is wonderful! I look forward to further exploring their range. It does have similar tones as the BBW candle.
