AmbiEscents: Baby, It's Cold Outside

AmbiEscents Baby, It's Cold Outside perfectly lifted my mood on Tuesday. This $2.99 tart from Bed, Bath & Beyond had a nice medium-strong throw in the living room and kitchen areas. It brought a peaceful vanilla peppermint sweetness to my day as I threw out mismatched lids and containers and cracked cups and odds and ends from the kitchen cabinets. I have heard that this particular brand of wax tarts are being discontinued but not sure so don't quote me on that. But if I see this scent around I would repurchase.

I am ready for new dishes and cups. Our wedding set has so many broken/missing pieces and we never even really had a set of glasses (we are still using the miscellaneous beer brands of pint glasses we scored in college and we don't even drink anymore.) Do you have any recommendations on where to buy some affordable but cute plate and glass sets? Target was kind of bare today.

    1. You know... I remembered you saying that so I kinda watched for a pepper note but never got one. It was strange! I just picked up sweet vanilla mint. Maybe I had an off one or something. I liked it though.

  2. Its been years since I stepped in a BB&B.. who knew they had joined the tart world?!
we had to replace our dishes when we moved, and I had been eyeing the Corelle line. however, our original wedding set came from BB&B.. so you might find a bargain there. :)

    1. Ok! I will check there! Plus I have a $25 gift card for there I could use. That would help for sure! Thanks! Corelle has some nice sets. Ours came from JCPenny. I like it but time to move on.

  3. Do you have an Old Time Pottery near you? We've gotten most of our glasses from there recently. Got some nice, thick glasses for $1 a piece. Bought a metric crap ton of them, stored a bunch away for when they break. Then for dishes, we got the Everyday White line from Bed Bath and Beyond for our wedding shower. They are open stock, so whenever one chips, we can just go buy another one. Had to buy extras for Thanksgiving this year and it was so nice that over 5 years later, they still had the exact same line in stock!

    1. Thank you for the recs Jacqui! I have never been to Old Time Pottery but my MIL has and there is one down in Ft. Myers/Naples where they live. Next time we go down there I will hit it up. I did get a $25 BBB gift card. I really should go in there and check it out. That store is so huge though. I usually end up stopping by the Calphalon and drooling for hours. I have managed to build my pots and pans from them one by one. All I need is a small skillet and I am set.
