I am excited to melt these evergreen and spice scents, the cranberries and apples. It will be nice. And comforting.

We headed to the mountains for my 40th birthday this year. Wanted to get some hiking and outdoor time in. Away from the crowds and fast pace of life.

The cabin we rented was beautiful. I particularly enjoyed the window seat for reading and the bathtub for using the random bath bombs I had kept on hand. The windows were huge and allowed for splendid views of all the varied leaf colors and flora.

I read, walked, ate and relaxed. There was very little cell service and I was ok with that.

We all enjoyed the crisp weather.

Savanna and I collected leaves. Scarlette fed the fish in the koi pond.

We hiked the Raven Cliff Falls in north Georgia.

It was a wonderful place to turn 40.

How are you guys doing? My students and I are back in quarantine but only until Tuesday. That leaves us four days in the classroom before winter break starts. I feel so bad for the kids having to switch back and forth between online and in person, but I know we are all just trying to keep them healthy. I just know it makes learning a challenge.

Are you done with holiday shopping? How are you keeping the stress to a minimum? Baking or cooking anything fun?
