Sihaya & Company: (Not So) Dark Ages Dream Box

There really is nothing like some classic creepy medieval times art. I love that Sihaya & Company curated a dream box that revolved around this very topic. The (Not So) Dark Ages box was brimming with tongue-in-cheek naughty frivolity that would go perfectly with the jangly buzzing sounds of a hurdy gurdy. This spring box was $65 and packed with goodness.

Three amazing notecards with envelopes came from Bingham and Bloom on Etsy. One notecard is $3.09, which is about $9.25 plus shipping for three. These are great quality cards. Bright jewel-tones, sturdy cardstock and excellent graphics. I look forward to gifting these to some quirky friends and family who will appreciate the humor.

The grey cat licking its butt reminds me fondly of my own cat, Toddles. This enamel pin is from P S Brooks Illustration on Etsy and runs $6.12. I cannot wait to put this on my backpack.

I love when a bag of Dryad Tea comes in the box. One ounce of loose leaf Strawberry Imp can be purchased on their website for $7.00. This is a fruity and bright tea that will taste incredible as iced tea during the summer, gently sweetened with honey.

The body care items were lively and perfect for a spring awakening.

Paintbox Soapworks Sorbetto sugar scrub in Illuminated Dick Joke- Notes: A proud shaft of ruddy cedar and cypress showered in orange blossom honey and red musk, gilded in amber. 8.4 ounces is about $9.16
I enjoy Paintbox Soapworks sugar scrubs. The sugar particulate is on the larger side, allowing for longer and more effective scrubbing. The texture is very thick and grainy when scooped and emulsifies beautifully when scrubbed in with water. It provides a bit of lathering and rinses clean, leaving behind soft and smooth skin. I enjoy picking up a ton of the sample size scrubs in several different scents just for fun when I can. I always throw in a bar or two of the soap as well. I really should start blogging my PBSW hauls. I think I have some still wrapped up. Anyway, this scent is gorgeous. The woods and musk are papery and elegant. While the honey and amber smooth it out a bit without making it sweet. A wonderful scrub to use any time of year.

Dreaming Tree Workshop Magical Luxury Soap in Totally Not A Witch- Notes: A bewitching blend of jasmine, herbs, black tea, incense and cauldron smoke. $8.50
I love Dreaming Tree soaps. This bar is lovely! I love the dried flowers and subtle sparkle on top, the rustic texture, and the beautiful soft smoky floral scent. It really does smell like the wake of a witch's robe as she twirls about. It lathered up with some friction with tiny bouncy bubbles and a buttery texture. The soap rinsed squeaky clean leaving only a tiny bit of grab behind and no residue.

Deconstructing Eden Sex or Cake- Notes: Inspired by Struffoli, deep fried balls of citrus zest spiked dough, drenched in honey, and dusted with hazelnuts. 5ml is $9.75
This 5ml parfum extrait came in a sleek black box with a window. It is a spray bottle with a gorgeous label. Sprayed on the skin the citrus zest springs up, sparkling and energetic. Quickly the velvety cocoa aroma of hazelnuts slinks in and you know you are in for one of those desserts. The moaning, sighing, lip licking type. Creamy honey and silken textures shoulder any hints of chocolate out of the way. This is a gooey baked vanilla treat dripping with golden caramel honey. It settled down to smell of vanilla tobacco and chewy vanilla amber. Lovely.

Sihaya & Company Murder Bunny candle- Notes: Decadent shortbread cookies, topped with costly marchpane, then paired with a rich red berry jam. $13
On cold sniff this has a putty like quality from the marzipan, but once burned it morphs more into sweet vanilla sugar cookies. There is the merest hint of berry candy but the vanilla cookie is most noticeable to my nose. It was a great candle that burned perfectly. I do recommend that the wick is trimmed before each burning so that it burns evenly and doesn't produce soot.

Sihaya & Company Moisturizing Lip Color in Earthly Delights which is described as a warm rosy peach shot through with delicate rose gold shimmer. $6.50 I love Christina's lip colors. This one leans pinky nude on my skin tone and makes an ideal spring time blush on my lips, like pale ballerina slippers. The slip is cushiony and the pigment lasts a few hours.

Sad that this candle is already a part of history. I did use it all up with frequent evening burning.

This is a box well worth the money. The time, creativity, and passion that all the makers put into this was obvious. I loved the theme, the goodies, and the joy of opening this up. I will be visiting these shops in the future for sure.

This box made me want to read more medieval historical fiction. Any recommendations?

Sihaya & Company: Spring Dream Box

This was sent for free in exchange for photography. All opinions are my own.

This stunning springtime Dream Box from Sihaya & Company is named Musa Venit Carmine- The Goddess Inspires Our Song. It is packed with dulcet florals that provide a gentle awakening of the senses ($65).

Dryad Tea is a familiar and loved maker in the box. Black Cats and Pointy Hats is one of my favorite fall teas. This time the offering is Ambrosia Skies, a green tea with grapefruit, pomegranate, and blueberry. My girls will love this iced with honey. $7

Leccare Lollipops are another delicious addition that I have seen before in past boxes and always enjoy. White Peach Rose, Marigold Lemon, and Marshmallow Hibiscus are lovely fruity floral pairings that tickle the taste buds. This shop offers custom labels for special occasions too. $4

Deconstructing Eden perfume in Musa Venit Carmine- Notes: Gently warming earth, pale green grasses, peonies, apple blossoms, green strawberries, green pomegranates, daffodils, cool air, and soft sunlight. $9.75 for 5ml

Right out of the spray nozzle, damp soil pairs with citrusy tart fruits. It smells like walking through a cottage garden where riotous rainbows of petals and fruits reach out to be sniffed and plucked. The ground is a mosaic of sunlight and shadow. Crystalline streams trickle through willows, where chilled stones gather necklaces of moss and lichen alongside their meandering path. This is a lovely scent and I am so happy it came in a spray format. I will love smelling this on my hair and clothing.

At first I thought this was a Sihaya & Company lip color (those are so nice!!), but upon closer inspection I see that it is from Crow & Pebble which I love too. This pink lip color is scented in Earl Grey tea. $7

Paintbox Soapworks had two amazing products in this box. The Flutterbutter face cleanser is incredible. I have been using it for a couple weeks now and it gently removes makeup, dirt and grime. I don't wear much makeup right now but do still put on eyeshadow and such. Also my husband gives me grief that when I am outside gardening, somehow my face always ends up dirty. But this stuff takes care of it. The consistancy is thick but smooth and melts gently into the skin. It smells of lemony bright frankincense, like sniffing a summertime sunbeam. I will be buying this again. $6

Poesy is a complexion and linen mist that has rose, lavender, and rose geranium hydrosols. I love it as a face mist so much. It is cooling and reviving. $6

My love of Paintbox Soapworks was rekindled and I picked up a TON of scrubs to replenish my stock. I will blog them sooooon.

LuvMilk is an indie bath and body company I have tried several times and love every single time. I seriously need to get my junk together and place an order soon, maybe when I finally get my bathtub. In the meantime, this soap is already almost used up in my shower. I have been loving it!! Floralia melds sweet magnolia, peonies, acai flowers, fresh arugula, and basil. It smells like a rich garden. $6.50

One of my favorites! The seasonal Sihaya & Company candle in Ostara.

Ostara- Notes: Fig, blackcurrant, berry, and rhubarb with hints of white jasmine and curling green ferns.

This is a cheerful and juicy tart fruit and floral that is springy and ripe. The blackcurrant is sour and sweet right along with the rhubarb. The jasmine and greenery are lush and dewy. This candle throws well and burns perfectly. I always enjoy Sihaya's candles. They are expertly crafted.

It took me way too long to get this up but here it is. There is another wonderful Sihaya and Company Dream Box in the works for summer (moon themed I believe?) so keep an eye out!

Black Magic Alchemy: Soap and Elixir

I was running low on bar soap and remembered how much I loved the Black Magic soaps that a friend had sent me. So I popped over, grabbed two, and also some of this Wild Chaga Elixir. I started with the 8 ounce traveler size that runs $28. This mushroom based health tonic is supposed to support the brain and skin. I drank some every few days for about a month. My skin has been happy but not sure if it was solely this or my skincare, lack of makeup wearing, and this combined. It tastes sweet and almost like a rootbeer syrup. I will be trying it again, but in a bigger size next time.

I picked up this Merino wool wrapped Rootbeer Chaga mushroom soap. I loved the scent in the regular bar and thought I would give the wool wrapped one a try. It was $14 and is made with antibacterial fibers and should last 3 months. I have been using it a little while. I do feel like it mutes the scent a little and I find it strange to use so I think I will stick to the regular bars next time, but it was neat to try out.

I also grabbed 50 Shades of Chaga. I love this bar so much. The balck spruce, cedarwood and bezoin smells freaking amazing. This bar is $12 and worth every penny.

Loving my small order and will be back for more once these run out.

Do you drink any health tonics? Health teas? I bought and planted some skullcap which is doing well. Going to make a tea with that one soon.

Sihaya & Company: Sisterhood of the Moon Dream Box

This box was sent gratis from Sihaya & Company in exchange for photographs. All opinions are my own.

Once again, my very favorite Sihaya & Company Dream Box is the Sisterhood of the Moon which comes in the month of October to celebrate Halloween. It runs $65 and is packed with indie and artisan small business goodness.

The Pickety Witch is one of my favorite Etsy makers. This enamel "Oracle" pin is perfect for backpacks, jackets or totes. I have purchased the Baba Yaga and mandrake tank tops from this shop in the past and they are fabulously made. The pin is normally $12 but everything in the shop is on sale until December 2nd for 20% off.

Sixteen92 crafted a limited edition perfume for this box.
When the Veil is Thin- Notes: Autumn crocus, dusty frankincense, Balsam fir, smoked tonka, cold tree bark, blood red pomegranate, morning frost, brittle leaves. 6ml $14
In the bottle smoky green fir and resinous frankincense tears mingle with the crocus, which has an almost iris and saffron lean to it. The veil symbolism is illuminated through the gauzy silhouette of the fragrance's composition. On the skin a subtle sweetness emerges from the ethereal forest. Perhaps it is a combination of the tonka and pomegranate. Elegant, green frankincense is the material the veil is composed of where tender golden skeletons of leaves catch and fir needles stitch memories. When The Veil is Thin it dries down into the soft smoky tonka that carries notes of vanilla and woods. It is a stunning scent that I will look forward to wearing.

Paintbox Soapworks creates amazing glycerin soaps. I am also a big fan of the sugar scrubs and wax tarts.
The Clearing- Notes: Moonlit white patchouli falling on spicy dried leaves, heliotrope musk, and charred marshmallows. $7
This is a lovely soap. The white patchouli possesses a freshness, an airy herbal quality rather than a earthen darkness. The heliotrope musk is light and floral but only mildly so. The charred marshmallows are quiet. It is a beautiful, clean soap and it lathers easily and abundantly. I enjoy Paintbox's luxury glycerin soaps. They are indeed indulgent and lush.

Cattail Apothecary composes magical body care that smells lovely and feels indulgent. Last year for the box there was an incredible bath potion, this year a solid lotion was crafted. Visions of the Three-Eyed Raven begins with a base of shea and cocoa butter, olive and apricot kernel oils and infuses it with mugwort, mullein, cedar, cinnamon, clove, arrowroot and essential oils. It is used to moisturize skin and aid in vivid dreams ($10). I love cocoa butter as a moisturizer. The smell is soothing too. The cocoa butter, shea butter, and spices along with the herbs are wonderful. It reminds me of Baba Yaga brewing up a salve to ease her winter chapped hands in her warm cozy chicken-legged hut. I used this on my feet, hands and elbows. It soaked in easily and left a satiny soft sheen behind, as well as its evocative fragrance.

I look forward to the Black Cats and Pointy Hats loose leaf tea from Dryad Tea each year. It is a delicious blend that tastes appealing warm or iced. The apples and soft spice are mellow. It tastes of autumn exactly. $7

I also love this four-pack of skull shaped sugar cubes. I rarely add extra sugar to my coffee or teas but when these quick dissolving handsome devils arrive I know I will be tasting some extra sweetness soon. Dem Bones sells these sugar skulls along with teas, coffees, and whatnots. $3.50 for a four pack

This hefty camp-style coffee mug is from Cryptostylis on Etsy. It is ceramic and normally priced at $18 but it currently 30% off for the holiday sale weekend ($12.60). Cryptostylis also designs artwork for apparel, prints, patches and more. They even sell tea.

No Dream Box is complete without the quintessential candle from Sihaya & Company

Sisterhood of the Moon- Notes: Gathered beneath the gibbous moon, we raise our arms to the sky. Amber, crackling fires, woody oakmoss, and warm vanilla. 8 ounces for $13

This is a previous review:
This candle burns by my bedside and smells lovely. Not overly smoky but you can tell it is a sweet amber and fire scent. It smells elegant yet cozy. The throw is about medium to medium-light in my bedroom. It is tunneling a little bit and not burning to the edges but it may be that I am not burning it for long enough periods of time too. I light it and burn it for about 3-4 hours when I get home from work until I go to bed. The glitter shimmers and dances when it is lit at night. I am enjoying this candle immensely.

I still feel the same way. It is a lovely candle that is easy to enjoy. I have since learned that with continual burning any tunneling evens out and ends up burning the whole candle in time.

The winter box is one sale for $70 and is Tudor themed. Check it out for a wonderful holiday gift!

Black Magic Alchemy: RootBeer Float and 50 Shades of Chaga Soaps

My friend Julia sent me some amazing soaps from Black Magic Alchemy last week and I wanted to share them with you since you guys know I love my bar soaps. After browsing about their website I found some incredible sounding chaga elixir and chaga tea to try out when I reorder these soaps. Yep. Reorder. Spoiler: this soap is fantastic.

50 Shades of Chaga- "Surrender into an activating soap blend of wild harvested chaga mushroom, black spruce, and coconut oil to sexify skin, clear your mind, purify your lungs, and stimulate your senses." $14.95

This an exfoliating and detoxifying soap that not only boasts chaga mushrooms and activate charcoal but also coconut, cocoa and shea butters along with cedarwood and benzoin to accompany the black spruce. Made with 100% organic of sustainably wild harvested ingredients that provide lung therapy and clarity of the mind. I was anxious to get this one in the shower and once I did it was awesome.

I enjoyed the buffing and exfoliation that the soap provided but what really grabbed my attention was the scent and the lather. The aroma of bracing cedarwood, lightly mentholated charcoal and spruce made for an invigorating perfume. And the bubbles? Let me say, with our well water and water softening system I rarely have trouble getting a lather up on a bar of soap but this was insane, it was a blizzard of bubbles. At one point in my latherings I looked down and noticed that within the ring of my arms I held a giant single bubble framed by hundreds of frothy friends. The chaga soap felt wonderful on the skin and left behind a soft and nourished canvas for the evening.

Wild Chaga Root Beer Float Soap- "This ain't your grandpapi's root beer. We synthesized ancient forest resins, our wildharvested chaga mushroom and aromatic plants into a purifying soap." $14.95

This soap is composed of coconut, cocoa and shea butters along with benzoin, wintergreen and bergamot oils. It is comprised of 100% organic or sustainably wild harvested ingredients that can heal the skin, ease inflammation and sooth pain. After some extra time spent in the yard this past weekend I was ready to take this one for a test spin in the shower. Am I the only one who gets cramps and pulled muscles super easy nowadays?

I cut a nice chunky hunk from this soap and used it a few nights ago. I love the scent on this one. It reminded me of the song "Big Rock Candy Mountain" with its old fashioned hard vanilla candy paired with trees and earth. A quaint river of burbling cream soda flows through a stand of oaks where mushrooms colonize on the edge of the banks, capturing stray scoops of vanilla ice cream as they bob down the stream. Sweet and earthy. Deliciously scented. This one is a mad bubble generator too but without the extra exfoliation. The Root Beer Float soap possesses a firm yet silky texture that feels buttery soft running through the hands. Wonderful soap.

I am so thankful to have been gifted these soaps and will be ordering from Black Magic Alchemy very soon. I have a mind to try their elixir and tea as well as grabbing a back up of these soaps. Have you found any mushroomy treasures? I am loving the Four Sigmatic reishi cocoa. It is yummy in coffee and chai tea.

Black Phoenix Alchemy Lab: Patchouli Clove Bar Soap

One of my favorite soapers, Brooke Perry from B. Perry Studios, created a handful of soaps for Black Phoenix Alchemy Lab not too long ago, all hauntingly delicious sounding. There was some pumpkin spice (this one is still available!), apples, pumpkin cheesecake and this patchouli clove. I decided to pick up two bars of this version.

Patchouli Clove-  Notes: Husky patchouli and bitter clove in a soap swirled with bonfire ash. $12

This 3.5 ounce cocoa butter based bar soap is crafted by B. Perry Studios using BPAL fragrance. It comes beautifully wrapped in an antiqued paper sleeve that even has a castle scene on the back.

It will be my soap for the month of August, carrying me into the wiles of autumn gently and fragrantly. The patchouli is earthen and herbaceous with woody buds of clove and green hazy woodsmoke wafting about. There is a tang to this soap, as if the good being burned was still bendy and verdant with sap and life. It lathers with tiny bubbles and viscous silken cream. It rinses cleanly leaving behind soft sweet skin.

Now I am eyeing up that last soap in Pumpkin Spice Everything.

I feel like I am ready to bust into the shed and break out my fall stuff. I was planning to this past weekend but things got busy and I wasn't feeling in the right frame of mind with work coming on Monday and a potential hurricane (turned out to be just a few moody rainstorms) and my cycle approaching. I think this coming weekend will be good. Are you decorating yet? Do you plan to?

Bohemienne Life: Wax Pre-Order and a Soap

I pretty much have placed a pre-order with Kyme at Bohemienne Life anytime I am aware it is coming. Being in her Facebook group is how I stay up to date. This is not from her most recent one (that one she is still working on) but the one before that. I kept it a medium to smallish order. A 5 ounce bag is $6.50.

Reverie- Notes: Carnation, blood orange, sandalwood, black rose, smoky wood, a touch of patchouli, toasted vanilla bean, vetiver, amber, and Egyptian musk.
This is the first time I have had this in wax. It is a velveteen rose highlighted with the sunny spice of orange peel and supported by woodsy musk. It will be a lovely scent in the home and I am excited to have a sliver of it in soap form too.

Palo Santo- Notes: Uniquely sweet and woody.
This smells differently than the Palo Santo type that Dessa uses, but does have some similarities. They are in the same family in the musk and aridness that characterizes both. However, this one has a touch of that coconut and faint coolness I associate with real Palo Santo. There is a nod to Mahogany Teakwood in this. I am excited to melt this.

Citron et Fig- Notes: A citrusy, figgy blend of lemon, fig, spice, amber, green tea absolute, and white musk.
This was one of my very first free sample soap sliver years and years ago when I initially ordered from Kyme as Alamo Candelaria. I loved it as a soap but then never caught it after that. I was so happy to see this pop up in the offerings. It has a cheerful elegance, vivacious citrus and creamy fig musk all mesh into a sunny Tuscan perfume.

Banana Fleur- Notes: Ripe bananas, sweet pineapple, aldehydic rose, velvety violets, white orchids, black currants, teakwood, cardamom, sandalwood, and patchouli.
I loved that there was a disclaimer after these notes that stated "If you are not a fan of patchouli better skip this one..." Heck yes! I am already stoked. And it is a patchouli-banana scent. I do mostly get banana out of all the notes but that patch is just waiting to jump out. I am hoping it does once warmed.

Earthly Delights- Notes: A blend of lavender, sandalwood, and patchouli.
Pretty much had my name on it. The lavender is the queen here and she reigns with calm, verdant ease. She speaks of herbs and earth, tree and wood. I offer her my friendship. I also bought one more bag when the extras and leftovers went RTS.

Grimoire- Notes: Old book, sage, and magic.
Kyme crafts one of my favorite bookish scents. I don't crave it often, and mostly in the fall, but when I do I want it bad. This is the one to have. It has the musty scent of old books down pat. Not too much leather as most of these blends tend to have and the sage adds that touch of yummy funk you get in the ancient used book stores. Mmmmm.

Apricot Cucumber Mint- Notes: Apricot, cucumber, sweet pear, sprigs of fresh mint, black currant, orange, jasmine, rose, and vanilla.
This normally would not have drawn me as peachy and cucumber scents don't generally attract me and fruits and mints are taboo when paired (in my nose), however, I am so glad I picked this up on a whim. Next to Earthly Delights, it might be one of my new favorites in this order. The apricot does have a peachy-mango vibrance but the herbs, mellow florals and soft cucumber all mix in a cauldron of tranquility. A perfect spring and summer aroma. I will be melting this very soon.

La Vie en Rose- Notes: Bulgarian rose, rose, peony flower, mandarin, amber, and oolong tea.
One of my favorite songs and one of my favorite soaps from Kyme. Sweet, plump roses braced with greenery and tea. Absolutely lovely.

I got some free samples, and you would think I would learn to quickly sniff them as they tend to be precursors to the next pre-order.
Zen is a mild green tea with sleepy herbs.
Mere smells like comfort. Milky, herbal, like hugging a pillowy grandma who enjoys lighting beeswax candles in her home.
Gallowglass a dead sexy man who slips out of the ocean at night after moonlight bathing, his own musk still clinging to his broad chest. Sigh.
Bloom creamy smooth neroli. Not bitter one iota.

I saw she had Fraser's Ridge on offering as a soap so I scooped one up.

Best idea ever. I have been using this in the shower and it makes me smile every time I lather up with it. Plump tiny wild strawberries haloed in violets and woods. Pure perfection. Tons of lather, beautiful slip and clean rinsing. I have used it several times and I am always amazed the decorations stay put. They are rounded and smoothed and look a bit like cloisonne now but still lovely.

I did order from Kyme's last pre-order this month. So much for my summer no buy. But at least my home will be smelling nice.

Sihaya & Company: Spring Box

This box was sent free in exchange for photographs, all opinions are my own.

Christina at Sihaya & Company continues to roll out one of my very favorite curated indie maker seasonal boxes. I love how she not only includes bath and body but all tasty treats, home fragrance and more with a very cohesive feel. This spring her box was called: The Mystic's Dream.

Christina crafts some of my favorite candles. I love to burn them on my nightstand and on my desk. They throw nicely and look lovely with her shimmering glitter overspray.

The Mystic's Dream- Notes: A blend for those seeking adventure and wonder behind the veil of slumber. Spicy cardamom, Bulgarian rose, soft cedar, warm vanilla, and a touch of pistachio under a swirl of smoke. 9 oz $13

A lovely gourmand rose. A dusting of cardamom and vanilla tinted pistachio graces the rounded fullness of dark roses. It smells like browsing a quaint French bakery where vases of homegrown roses mingle with the meltingly tasty scents emanating from the display cases.  I look forward to burning this one right after I finish up Amber Woods from Sihaya & Co. that is on my nightstand.

Sihaya & Co. moisturizing lip color in Oneroi- A sheer wash of lavender tinted mauve with delicate purple sparkles and lavender caramel flavor. $6.50
A very flattering shade of plummy dark pink on my lips. The shimmer adds a touch of sheen and the flavor is very mild. I love the cushiony slip of the lip color. It feels light and easy on the lips as well as moisturizing. I enjoy wearing these for an easy pop of color.

Leccare Lollipops on Etsy in Honey Cardamom, Peppered Plum and Blood Orange Ginger. $4.05 for three.
I love tiny gourmet lollipops. I sampled the Honey Cardamom and it was divine. The cardamom was peppery and bright and paired with the sweet mellow honey it made for a tastebud tingling treat. I look forward to the plum on next.

Deconstructing Eden perfume in Dream- Notes: Tonka bean butter, Bulgarian lavender, lavender maillette, chamomile, and helichrysum. 9ml for $15.50
I have been meaning to sample Deconstructing Eden for a while now but the samples I picked up ages ago ended up languishing too long and then I misplaced them somewhere. I love that is a lavender based perfume. The lavender is floaty and supple, smells just like the lavender growing in my garden. It is braced with buttery shortbread cookies. I know that is not in the notes but that is what comes to my nose. The delicate feathery chamomile petals come into the background reminding me of sleepy tea. This is a wonderful scent to wear for calming and for sheer joy to those lavender lovers like myself.

Nui Cobalt Pathworking Bath Potion- Notes: Angelica, frankincense, copal, calendula, and a gentle touch of jasmine in a homespun infusion of mugwort. 20g is about $5 (4 oz is $22)
I don't have a bath in which to pour this beautiful bath potion but I did rub some on my skin kind of like an exfoliant and it was heavenly. The frankincense and jasmine are a match made in heaven. The oils in this potion left my skin soft and lightly scented. If I could buy this in a large amount and bathe in it I would be one happy camper.

Paintbox Soapworks soap in The Distant Stars and the Violet Flame- Notes: Purple incense, crystalline violet, amber, and sweet blackberry. $7
I used to poo poo glycerine soaps but between Paintbox Soapworks and Moonalisa, I amend my ways. Paintbox Soapworks' luxury glycerin soaps are just that, a luxury. They bubble and froth in copious clouds of suds and they smell amazing. Plus the ease of cleaning and rinsing is pretty sweet too. I admit I do fall into a semi-state of mesmerism when I gaze into the mica swirls that look like galaxies of stardust inside these bars of soap. I put this bar in my shower along with my Future Primitive soaps so add a fruity balance to the mints. This bar smells of dark, sweet blackberries and a sigh of violet incense. It is truly a lovely fragrance. The berries come forward most prominently for sure.

Luvmilk sugar scrub in Dream Walker- Notes: Sun ripened apricot, creamy coconut milk, oak, cedar, moss and a squeeze of citron. (Not sure of cost as their website is down.)
I enjoy the consistency of the Luvmilk scrub. It is like a slurry of sugary scrubbiness. The scent in the jar smells of bready coconut and I am not a huge fan of it, but once I slather it on in the shower it does bloom into a peaches and cream. I think the milk component and the apricots combine to initially make a strange melange of yeasty scent but then it does mellow and the apricots plump up into their fuzzy, peachy, juicy form. The creaminess smooths out into something more yummy. I don't ever really get the oak, moss and cedar though.
I noticed when trying to locate the cost on these that the Luvmilk owner is going through a rough patch with a loss of a loved one and some massive COVID-19 shipping delays on supplies. My condolences, my thoughts are with you.

I love this box! It is dreamy and lush. So much magic to behold! This box ran $60 shipped and the product value exceeds that amount given an estimate on the scrub. Christina's next box will come out in May and you should treat yourself to it. <3
