Bath & Body Works Candle: French Lavender

French Lavender from Bath and Body Works stared me down in my closet last Saturday and insisted it be burned. I turned off all my warmers and took the lighter to it, then went on an errand with Savanna while Adam stayed home with Scarlette. We returned after about an hour there was a gorgeous vibrant purple pool of wax, the wicks held a strong and perfect flame, and the throw was phenomenal! I mean stellar! But OH! The scent! What on cold smelled like the most haunting herbal field of Provincial Lavender, turned into a metallic headache inducing beast. Its silver claws ripped and tore into my nostrils and went straight for my brain as soon as I walked into my bedroom. Adam of course, lay oblivious to the invisible beast, on the bed watching Top Gear reruns. I put a lid on it and gave it a new home. Then promptly lit Lavender Vanilla.

Happy Birthday shout out to one of my baby sisters. Not a baby any longer but definitely a babe. I hope you have a day as beautiful as you are. Cheers Linds!

  1. Happy birthday, Linds! :)

Sorry this candle was no good. The label is so pretty and beckoning of a wonderful lavender, it's a shame it gave you a headache!

    1. It was SO promising. I loved it on cold but it did not love me while burning. Attacked me like a rabid beast, it did. It must have liked Adam though.

  2. I hate candles that do that! What a disappointment. :(

    Lovely sisters!

    1. Me too Futurowoman. Sometimes weirdly dry and cloying pineapple/fake tropical scents give me a headache too. Thankfully this candle was on deep discount when I bought it.

Thank you! I was blessed with four amazing half sisters (that all feel like full sisters to me!).

  3. Aww sorry this one didn't work out! I know how that goes, though -- some scents give me headaches or make me sneeze! It is pretty though!

Happy Birthday to your sis!! :-)

    1. It happens for sure! They can't all be winners for everyone. Thankfully it rarely happens though.
