Candles From The Keeping Room: April Order

This post took me a while to put up due to some delivery complications. Suffice it to say that the USPS will not stand up to the insurance included with priority delivery. I will say that during this delivery debacle that Carol was the most amazing person. She fought for me and she took care of me. She seriously has a customer for life in me. Or at least as long as she is open and selling her beautifully fragrant tarts.

Candles From The Keeping Room sells all their tarts in 6 ounce bags for $4.95. I highly recommend using the UPS option for delivery >_<

Pink Berry and Tonka Bean is a newer scent from Carol that my friend Lynda suggested I pick up. It is a sweet fruity delight. I do get berries and sweet vanilla tonka beans but there definitely is a bubblegum candy sugar factor in these berries and beans. I like it and cannot wait to melt it.

Rosy Strawberry was a personal blend request I gave to Carol and she ran with it. Fresh Picked Strawberry and Rose Jam merge into a jammy nirvana. I am over the moon to have this blend and truly will be looking for more. Strawberry and rose preserves. Heaven in a tart.

Fresh Picked Strawberry. Need I say more?

Honeydew and Marshmallow is one of those I loved the sample in but never got around to ordering again. I fixed that problem. The honeydew melon tones are softened by vanilla marshmallows, fluffy and sweet. A wonderful summer scent.

Vanilla Musk, because I love me some musk. Musk is like my "clean" scent. It makes my home feel fresh without smelling like soap or cleanser. This musk has a bit of vanilla oak and woods tagging along. I love it.

Free Samples:

Driftwood & Sea Salt- Wow. This one is perfect. More woods than ozone. Hardly any aquatic. I love love love this scent. Very refreshing and sophisticated. Reminds me of woody amber.

Fig & Cassis- Another favorite. Cassis is similar to cinnamon and this spicy fig is lovely. More floral than bakery for sure but oh so beautiful. Reminds me of upscale potpourri.

Agave Papaya Sunset- This is a dupe of something but I am not familiar with it. Strangely it smells like tropical bakery. Like tropical fruity vanilla cream candy. I like it.

Marshmallow Filled Birthday Cake- These raspberry shapes are KILLING me! I have wanted these boogers for years now and I am finally getting them! (I covet the pie topping shapes too). On cold this is an average vanilla cake scent but when warmed it blooms nicely.

So thar she blows. My wee CFTKR order that was a bit fatter initially until my "neighbor" helped herself. I have already made peace with it and I hope she gets hooked on them and has to forever pay homage to Carol and buy her wax like a fiend. Like the rest of us. Ha. The joke is on her.

I desperately want more Rosy Strawberry and Driftwood and the Fig scent. Have you fell hard for any new scents?

  1. What a gorgeous order and every single scent sounds like something I'd love! Yet another oldie-but-goodie vendor I haven't ordered from. I must remedy this in the next couple of months. I'm trying to plan my waxy purchases very strategically; so many smell goods, so little $. Thanks for sharing your thoughts; fabulous post as always! Sorry to hear about your mail debacle; that's my nightmare. :(

    1. Definitely a loved vendor <3

I understand the wax budget conundrum. Mine just went non-existent. And it sucks. But on the job hunt. Thanks for stopping by and reading. I hope you are well.

  2. I can't think of any scents that have really wowed me lately. Spring and summer is usually pretty blah for me melting-wise. Even so, it seems that this year I'm just so distracted busy that I'm melting less and a lot of it isn't even getting noticed or appreciated. *whiny dramatic sigh*

    1. That is poopy. You had a killer lemon bakery there one day. I have run through a couple candles been melting wax but fall and winter are definitely more exciting scent seasons. Only a few more months then my eyes and fingers will roam to my fall wax drawer.

  4. False alarm! I have to start jotting down my favorites because I am leaning towards the clean scents lately and the names don't stay with me. Early favorites from my order are Blue Cedar Lavender and Burgundy Rose. Also anything blackberry or wildberry. I will definitely try Tokyo Nights!

    1. Carol has an amazing selection of clean and spa and earthy scents under her designer scents tab. LOVE them! That Blue Cedar Lavender does sound amazing. And I figured Burgundy Rose would be lovely. I love roses. Glad you liked your order! Maybe your fruity bakery will come into play in the winter when it is colder and will give you a snuggly atmosphere. <3
