Bath & Body Works: Cinnamon & Clove Bud Candle

White Barn's version of Cinnamon & Clove Bud features notes of sweet cinnamon, clove buds and freshly ground nutmeg. It smells more woody and dusky than sweet and bakery. I love it. Reminds me of a more rustic version of Celtic Moonspice. The throw was medium in my large living room. The flames were strong (I mean look at those tall strapping lads!) and it burned beautifully. I would not hesitate to pick up another one of these.

If you enjoy spices this one would be a must try. Normally priced at $22.50, I bought this one for less than $8 with a sale combined with coupons.

  1. Nice. I like the 'sweet and bakery' spiced scents more. The more dry, spice market types are too, well, dry for me. Nice deal with the sale and coupons though!

    1. Yes, I can definitely see this being kind of the opposite of what you would want in a spice scent. It isn't the nasty dry though. Not the kind that makes you want to cough. Just more cinnamon bark than ground cinnamon. Yes I cannot pass up a great candle deal. And yesterday was the deal to end all deals. $5.50 for a $26.50 candle?! Yes please!

    3. Hi! Cinnamon and Clove Buds will be back this winter at Bath & Body Works. The wallflower version is already on the website so the candle probably won't be far behind. <3

  2. One of my all-time faves. I love dry cinnamon type scents. Brings me back to the days when I was a BBW manager, before Slatkin ever came in and White Barn sold all different brands of candles, not just BBW. Henri Bendel Cinnamon Bark was another one they used to carry that was a beautiful dry cinnamon. This and Winter are my absolute holiday essentials. I skipped the candle sale yesterday though, I just have so many of the classics still and none of the "new" scents (I use that term lightly because most are repackages of old scents) did it for me this year. I will be picking up a Creamy Nutmeg one at some point though, another classic fave that I haven't seen them do in years!

    1. Those were good days. I do like that they are bringing back CO Bigelow so maybe there is hope yet. Winter is one of my favorites too. I picked up my Winter candle as soon as i saw it during Black Friday. I saw some teasers of Creamy Nutmeg out there. I will make sure to pick one up. Crossing my fingers for a good SAS this year. I used to be stocked up but last year I really did not buy many so I ended up burning all my extra candles. I am pretty much starting over from scratch with a couple exceptions. I still have my Autumn Day from about 2012. I cannot bring myself to burn it away.
