Long Cane Primitives: 35% Off Sale Order

A really good wax sale rarely happens in the vendor world, so when rolls around from a vendor I enjoy I like to take advantage of it if there are scents I know I use frequently. Long Cane Primitive's 35% off sale was pretty sweet.  Six pack bags were marked down to $4.23 (normally $6.50) and four pack bags were $2.99 (regularly $4.60).  Not bad, eh?

Vanilla Mint Noel was a sample I had received in the past and quite liked. It is much heavier on the vanilla and Vanilla Bean Noel, but with a whisper of mint that makes it feel wintery and festive and a something a little more special.

Peppermint Marshmallow Dreams is the coconut peppermint marshmallow one I wanted a little bit more of from the last order.

Creamy Nutmeg.... mmmmmm... heavy thick vanilla cream, a little buttery with a drizzle of caramel. I do not pick up on any spice. This almost brings to mind Vanilla Butter Fudge. I went to Bath & Body Works for the BOGO candle sale (I had a 25% off coupon and a gift card to use together) and Creamy nutmeg was my one candle but they were all out. I ended up getting another Pumpkin Woods, Cinnamon & Clove Bud, Caramel Woods, and a beach one for the summer time.

Spearmint Buttermint Candy Fluff highlights spearmint and sweetens it up with buttermints and marshmallows. Delish!

Caramel the Perfect Autumn is one I have only had from Candles From The Keeping Room. Long Cane Primitive's smells more creamy. This is a dupe that includes toffee and vanilla cream. I do detect a little musk or sandalwood note buried deep in there but I love that finesse added to it.

Free Samples:

Christmas Delights of maple, chestnuts, caramel and cream, Not sure how I feel about chesnuts. They lend a dry and popcorn like note that I don't really enjoy.

Funnel Cake/Cotton Candy/Kettle Corn/Smoothie/Blue Ribbon Cookies- The popcorn throws me off. I cannot do it.

I am thrilled to pieces with my order. Glad I have a few more staples to add to the wax drawers. I melted a ton of my fall and mints so room was opening up. Now I can fill them back in a bit.

Have you tried Long Cane Primitives yet? Do you like popcorn in wax?

  1. Alright, that does it. I've browsed the LCP site a couple times since you last mentioned them but have not ordered. I'm marching back there right now and ordering something. Enabler!

(And no, I can't do popcorn in wax either.)

    1. LOL! Not sure how much is left now though. But honestly, you cannot beat the price. I couldn't remember if you could or not but it makes sense that it would be no, since zucchini bread can be a little pop corn-ish.

  2. Fabulous order! I have a couple of those to look forward to. I do like popcorn in wax and especially love a good kettle corn scent.
I'm so sad; my LCP order has been delayed, wahhh! It was supposed to arrive on Thursday but instead went to Washington and has been in the "in transit delayed" limbo ever since. I'm sure it will turn up eventually hopefully Monday, but the suspense is killing me!

    1. Ah! Then I will save my kettle corn one for you.

Oh no! I hope it comes soon. Her wax is a little soft so it may not arrive looking the best. But grubbies can handle a little smudging. Did you end up getting it? My VCS and SMT and LSC should all be coming tomorrow or the next day. Talk about restocking! I am restocking my wax drawers big time. But it will be nice to have extra for gifting and swapping too.

  3. Mmm, Creamy Nutmeg sounds great - I love Vanilla Butter Fudge. However, I can't stand popcorn scents. I want to like them, because the descriptions always sound so fantastic, but I think I'm really just doing that thing where I'm confusing something tasting good with smelling good. Although, with some of the popcorn blends, neither one of those statements could be true! Why do we feel the need to put cotton candy in everything (said the person who recently discovered that pine, pomegranate, raspberry sauce and cotton candy frosting smell amazing together.)

    1. YES! I know exactly what you mean. I love chocolate, popcorn and steak but not tarts that smell that way. Or I love gasoline and acetone in scents but not for my home. And yes. Cotton Candy, Pink Sugar or Vanilla Bean Noel. They manage to make just about anything better. Except popcorn.

  4. I love your blogs! How is the throw for this vendor?

    1. Hi Lacey! Thank you! I find the throw to be a solid medium usually with a couple lighter throws (the Peppermint Swizzle Sticks was medium-light) to stronger ones (cinnamon broom, blue ribbon cookies and serendipity are strong). So about middle of the road like most vendors. I do think the value is great for the performance and scents. Especially right now while they are all still on sale until the end of the year. Hope this helps!
