Melting Basket 80

Wax tarts from the last basket I would love to buy again are: CFTKR Christmas Cabin, Mulled Wine, Fig & Cassis, and Dessa's Smoky Mountain Berries.
Let's talk about the Mulled Wine for a moment. It smelled incredible. Spiced sangria comes to mind. But not too winey. It threw strong in my bedroom and I found myself drifting in just to get a lung full of this bliss. I will be keeping my eye out for it come January. No doubt. So what am I melting this week?

If you would like me to review any of these in depth please let me know!

This past weekend we took the girls down to Adam's parents' to watch a Christmas boat parade. I went to one of these back when I was a teenager in Ft. Lauderdale and it was exciting.

This one above had their lights synched to Christmas music.

The Bonnethead/Hammerhead sharks as reindeer really tickled Savanna and me.

It was a nice weekend. I do feel super behind on things though. This week I will have to squeeze in last minute boxes getting mailed, cookies baked, and rocks painted for some former students. I have last minute gifts to buy, all the wrapping to do and a couple parties I have yet to prepare for approaching.

Less than two weeks left! Are you ready? What did you do this weekend?

  1. Oooh, could you do a review on Dessa's Home Cranberries & Pine, LSC Sugar Clove Berry, and LSC Holiday Splendor? <3

That Christmas boat parade looks like it was fun and full of gorgeous lights! It reminds me that I should take Michael to Lotte World so he can see the night parade. They do themes based on the seasons so this time of year it should be Christmas or winter themed.

Our weekend was really relaxed. We pretty much stayed in and snuggled. I had some hot chocolate while we watched snow flurries outside the window. I feel like I need a super fluffy blanket to complete the winter mood.

    1. I would love to!! Consider it done.

It was fun! The weather was perfect for it too. Cold enough to snuggle under blankets and windy. The girls even had hot cocoa in a thermos. You should totally go to Lotte World! And if you do.... please take photos!

Staying in and snuggling is good medicine. Adam and I desperately need some stay-in snuggle time. Albeit without the dreamy flurries cascading down the window panes. More like fog. Or rain. Or sunshine pelting the window.

Ahem. You don't have a fluffy blanket?!

    2. I don't have a fluffy blanket!! >_< The closest thing we have to a fluffy blanket is a 7 year old, ginormous blue blanket that I gave Michael for Christmas in 2009 that USED to be fluffy. It's aged a lot since then.

Fog or rain sounds good to me! I don't mind sunshine, but it's the more 'dreary' weather that makes me feel like I need to snuggle up with some hot cocoa. We have a variety pack of hot cocoa and I'm having fun mixing and matching different flavors.

  2. That boat parade looks so cool! Disney does something similar out on the lagoon - like the Electric Light Parade on the water. I'm also feeling the holiday pinch, although I really shouldn't - I think I have things pretty well in hand. Problem is, the weather has been horrible around here lately (stormy, wet, snowy, icy) and that puts a real damper (wah-wah) on festive activities like going out to look at lights or heading out to the country to go to a Christmas tree farm. I'd rather be alive for the holidays, thanks, boo. :( Eh, we'll get there. You seem great at organizing about a million different elements of your life at one time, and you probably have way more done than you think.

    1. What?! How do I not know this?! I want to watch. It has been ages since we took the girls to the Magic Kingdom. We went to EPCOT last year for Christmas and it was beautiful as always. Yes. Staying alive is high on the priority list. I have a girlfriend who is going up to Montreal then Ottawa in a couple weeks with her family and I immediately thought of you.

Thank you Sandra. I try to juggle but sometimes things fall and crash. I just hope it won't be me. We have a big history of depression and mental illness and I struggle wondering if I am creeping into that or just impossibly overwhelmed. Staying busy is good for me but busy without a lot of people around me. The house is a disaster right now and I know it stresses my husband a little (who cleans and does a huge portion of the house care- and the messes are mine, not his) so I know I need to tackle that straightaway today. It will help fill his love tank and maybe the movement will boost my endorphins or something.

Hey. Sent you a FB message. You are very much appreciated. <3
