How is the weather in your neck of the woods? Is it feeling like spring (or summer?!)?

  3. How does RG American Cream compare to UTC? And how is Blackberry Amber? I'm putting together another order of MM and those are two I'm considering

    1. Hi Jen! I prefer UTC American Cream by a small margin due to the scent being a touch stronger, but I am much more appreciative of being able to buy the RG version more readily (as the UTC version is not always in stock). I am actually melting RG American Cream with Sugared Jasmine right this minute and love it! RG version really is very nice. I hope Jenny keeps it around. I have not melted RG Blackberry Amber yet, but in cold it smells amazing! I can melt it tomorrow and report back if you wish :-) I have ordered twice more since the MM opened. It is so nice to be able to go on and buy! What are some of your favs Jen? Thanks for stopping by!

    2. I'd love to hear about Blackberry Amber when you melt it (please don't feel pressured to melt it sooner if you'd rather melt something else!) and thank you for the comparison on American Cream! I've only made one tiny MM order (tobacco and sage) because it's my first time ever trying RG so I didn't want to make a huge order just in case their wax doesn't work out in my house, but if it does I'm making a second order with American Cream, Blackberry Amber, Lavender Cucumber Sage, Singing in the Rain, Macintosh Madness, Lasso, maybe Strawberry Euphoria and Rosegirls Garden. I like earthy, woodsy, green scents with a little bit of fruit and floral from time to time, no bakery or candy sweet scents. What are your favorite blends and single scents from RG?

Also I bought a big bag of cedar sage and blackberry from the last CFTKR opening based on your review and I LOVE it so so much I wish I had gotten a second bag, thank you so much for writing about it! :)

    3. I am more than happy to melt it tomorrow for you! It may sound crazy, but I have this impluse to blend it with tobacco eventually. Your scent choices sound amazing and right up my alley. I adore woodsy and earthy scents. I am curious about lavender cucumber sage too. Please let me know how it is if you order it. My favorite RG blends revolve around peppermint blends (with pink and lavender, coconut and marshmallow), sweet lavender and blends with it (marshmallow, birthday cake, and or pink) and RG bakery blends. Her tobacco is nice. Marilyn, margarita, white tea, raspberry, gilligan's brew, and Sugared jasmine all stick out to me as great. I am looking forward to blending with her Rosegirls garden next opening. So many great scents to try! Lasso intrigues me.

A big bag of Cedar Sage and Blackberry?! This makes me happy! Glad to hear you enjoy it as much as I do! Carol has a stellar scent variety. Have you tried TDC for earthy scents? They have great ones too. I find fragrant treasures from all kinds of vendors. If you find stand outs please drop me a line. I would love to hear about them! Hope you have a great night!

    4. I'm so excited for Tobacco, and I think it would be amazing with Blackberry Amber! I want to blend both of them with Sage, and maybe also a bit of Lasso or Sandalwood depending on how deep the scent is with the first three.

I loooove TDC so much, they were the first vendor I tried and entirely the reason I fell in love with wax tarts when before I was a candles only girl. Ozark Forest is one of my all-time favorites. I also love Havana, and I've noticed a lot of vendors have added cactus and sea salt to their lineup in the past year, but TDC's is still the best to me.

I was really amazed at how expansive Carol's scent list is for all categories, there are a lot of scents from her I can't find from any other vendor. Standouts from her so far have been: Clean Green (Sugar and Spice has this too), Lime Leaf and Lily, Mistletoe and Ivy (I think HHS has a similar one just called Mistletoe) and Red Saffron. Streetman has a really well blended woodsy scent called Cozy By the Fire, Tiffany's Winter Dreams is also one of my all time favorites, LPL's fig is beautiful and her lavender is my favorite from any vendor. I could go on and on lol, I sometimes wish I could commit to just a couple vendors but there are so many great ones with amazing scents that aren't quite the same anywhere else.

Hope you have a great night too! And a wonderful tomorrow <3

    5. I have quite a few sage blends brewing for RG. Lauren made a sage, lemon and orange muffin and it is knockout good!

Thanks for your TDC and CFTKR favs! I will write them onto my waxy wish list. I wonder if TDC's Havana and Alamo's Havana are similar? I hear ya about the variety! I could stick with maybe 5-7 vendors if I had to, but never just one. Each vendor has their star scents and blends, which makes it fun for me. Variety is the spice of life and all that! Thank you Jen! Excited to get home and melt Blackberry Amber. On my lunch break dreaming about it.

    6. I was only home briefly today but from what I can tell, Blackberry Amber smells a lot like the BBW version with the same sweet powdery amber and vanilla mixed with dark berries. Medium to medium strong throw. :-) I would buy it again.

    7. Thank you! I've never actually smelled the B&BW version, I'll see if I can smell it in a store before purchasing.

  4. So much yumminess! And I've just added TDC's Honey Lemon to try -- thanks for the recommendation!

The photos of your girls are adorable :)

    1. I hope you get to try it. Not a fresh squeezed lemon and honey, more of a sophisticated floral leaning interpretation, but one of my favs.

Thank you! I try not to inundate y'all with my kiddos but sometimes I cannot help it. <3
