Fall Fun Series: Fall in Nature

One of those weeks, where at first I felt on top of what I needed to do: my deadlines, my routines. Then come mid-week a heinous combination of hormones, impending sickness, some fighting and additional worries piled up and I got off kilter.

So last night it was nice to have an excuse to get outside and look around for some fall signs in Florida. Amid the blood draining cloud of mosquitoes, I did find some beauty.

I think tonight will be a full moon. The moonrise really pulled at me. I took some creative liberties with it, I hope you do not mind.

As far as melting... I mostly have been burning my four year old Fireside candle from Bath & Body Works. I feel a fireside/marshmallow fireside binge coming on soon.

Today Adam's parents will be driving up to visit. There is a huge classic car show the guys and girls will be going to while Sheryl and I will be Christmas shopping for the girls. Pokemon all the things. And then tonight is the 3rd Annual Five Sisters Crafternoon.

I will take lots of pics and blog it of course. Deb shared a really cool craft on Facebook that I will attempt too and will share on here when I get to it. Also, Solstice Scents has some amazing perfumes, whipped soaps and body oils in cool Halloween aromas released as of last night.

What are you up to this weekend? Melting or burning anything good in your neck of the woods?

  1. Sick, fighting, and worries. What's going on over there? Your getting to be scattered like me, and that's not a good thing! lol

I hope you do make one of those topiary thingies. I wanna see it!!!

    1. It's the full moon and the devil. They are having a heyday stirring up the Johnson cauldron. I still have that sore throat/achy ears and tiredness of a cold lingering but taking Tylenol PM the past few nights have kept my nocturnal period cramps from waking me up in pain. The worries... they can't go away until we get a report back but hoping for the best there. I am scattered.

I am going to wait until the fall things go on a deep discount at Hobby Lobby then make one (maybe two?) for the front door area. Thank you again for sharing it. I just watched it again.

  2. I always reach a point during fall when I crave firey/woodsy/marshmallow-y scented wax. I swear by the Goose Creek melts. I absolutely love the photos you take!

    1. Yezzzzz J!!! In fact I melted more last night. I only have a few left. But I do still have a couple candles in it. Thank you! It was the night right before the super moon/Hunter's moon and I got a couple good shots in. Normally I royally stink at moon photos.

Thank you sweet friend! The latter part of the week picked up considerably and now it is better. <3 Hope you are having a good week!

  4. I picked up a sample of Scrying Smoke EDP and a Runestone perfume oil sample from Solstice Scents after reading your reminder, the update had slipped my mind. The EDP format helps for the natural perfumes, Scrying is heavy on the frankincense. The Runestone EDP sample is on my list for next time now. Did you get anything this round?

    1. Yes I did! I got samples of Scrying Smoke and Runestone EDPs as well as Witch's Cottage EDP. I wanted to pick up Astral Temple, but I had to pare down. However, I will be getting it come payday along with a Conjure Glace' I hope. I am actually testing the EDPs right now. I have Scrying Smoke and Witch's Cottage written out but I am wearing and pondering Runestone at the moment. So earthy but ethereal. Loving them. Angela is a master.
