Fall Fun Series: Pumpkins!

Yes. I love pumpkins: real ones, fake ones, glittered ones, edible ones, smellable ones, and almost all iterations.

Normally, foodie type scents for hand wash just don't work for me, but this Marshmallow Pumpkin Latte hand soap from Bath & Body Works has created a hand sniffer out of me. I love it. One bottle drained and onto the second one.

Trader Joe's Pumpkin Spice Chai Tea Latte Mix ain't half bad. I made it twice now, hot, with added whipped cream and a sprinkle of extra Pumpkin Spice of course. I may try it iced with cream soon. Even with vigorous whisking there remains a few grainy micro chunkies, but the flavor is pretty good. Classic spiced chai with actual pumpkin and accompanying spices. Maybe cardamom too. Peppery and bright. I will use this whole can for sure. I can see it becoming a fall tradition.

Had to showcase my Hagrid pumpkin from a couple years ago... though my thoughtful brother-in-law did ask if it was Bob Marley. Hm.

And pumpkin melts!

CFTKR Pumpkin Cinnamon Coffee Cake was a hit this weekend.
The Bathing Garden Pumpkin Butterscotch Waffles blew me out of my home. Manic strong and rich. Should have only used ONE cube and not THREE cubes per warmer. Oops.
Bath & Body Works Pumpkin Woods candle is a cheat, but it does have pumpkin in the name and I love it. So there.

Do you have any new pumpkin favorites? Oh! I did almost forget to mention. I am loving Solstice Scents' Jack and the Devil pumpkin based perfume. Spooky, pumpkin Halloween aroma. They will have their Halloween releases Friday, October 14th. And Jack and the Devil will be debuting in an EDP format. Totally buying a sample of that.

Please share your pumpkin experiences with me!

  1. Bob Marley pumpkin is funny.

This post reminds me that I have a can of pumpkin spice hot chocolate mix that I need to get going on! And I have the BBW Marshmallow Pumpkin Latte in shower gel form waiting for November, because it's a heavier scent than the Purrfect Pumpkin I'm using now.

I've been in a melting funk though. So many wonderful fall scents in my stash and I just don't feel like melting anything most days. *sigh*

    1. Let me know how that pumpkin spice cocoa goes. Sounds interesting! Are you liking the Purrfect Pumpkin? I kinda wish I had picked that up in a hand soap for the girls.

Oh no :-( This is the season you have been waiting for. I hope it picks up for you soon. I know it is hard to get interested in past joys when you are down. Thinking of you.

    2. I'm am liking the Purrfect Pumpkin but I'm a tiny bit bummed that it's not more pumpkin-y. I mean, it's more like fresh pumpkin so it doesn't have the warmth and depth of a pumpkin spice type.

  2. AHH!! I love your Hagrid pumpkin, it is amazing. Totally funny on the Bob Marley though.
Marshmallow Pumpkin Latte is one of the fav's that I crave heavily around this time of year and I would agree is best in soap form. I bought it in candle form but I have heard it hasn't preformed that well so we will see whenever I decide to burn it.
    Fun Fall scents!

    1. Thanks! I think I may try to do a Hedwig this year.

It is such a great scent! I love how sweet and yummy it is. A great vanilla scent. I hope the candle surprises you and does well. I have not tried it myself.

  3. I love the BBW Marshmallow Pumpkin Latte scent too! I will be putting out the handsoap soon and I think I'll use the body cream today.

Surprisingly I hated the TJ's Pumpkin Chai Tea Latte mix! I'm all about TJ's and pumpkin and chai, but something about the flavor of this was all wrong to me. Plus I agree the texture was super grainy.

Those CFTKR pumpkins are soooo cute, and I've been dying to try TBG Pumpkin Butterscotch Waffles. Still waffling on ordering, haha.

    1. Such a great vanilla scent!!

I can see how the Pumpkin Chai would not be for everyone. It does have a strong peppery chai flavor. The texture definitely needs improving. But the extra whipped cream helped.

If you get the Pumpkin Butterscotch Waffles, a little goes a long way LOL!!

  4. Love pumpkin. Hate coffee scented stuff. I don't know if I'd like the BBW soap. I'll have to go in and take a sniff. It sounds like it would smell amazing though!

Lol, the Hagrid pumpkin is amazeballs!

I recently used Sugar Works Pumpkin Doughnuts hair conditioner and I literally wanted to squeeze the bottle directly into my mouth. This has to be around 5 years old too. I don't even know if Sugar Works is still in business. The owner has changed her company name several times, the first name being Isle of Eden. Good products but bad ownership unfortunately. It makes this little bottle of heaven even more precious lol.

I melted CFTKR Frost on the Pumpkin this weekend and didn't get any of the bubblegum notes I smelled on cold sniff so that's good. It's a great fall scent. I just love Carol's wax.

    1. I am not a coffee fan in wax either. Thankfully I don't get any coffee, but rather a lot of rich vanilla cream and caramel. Try it out!

Mmmmmm that condition sounds amazing but too bad about the owner. It is such a hard decision to make to support a vendor with a great product but lacking customer service or something else. But I always tend to lean towards not buying again.

So glad you didn't get the bubblegum!! I don't do bubblegum in wax at all. But I enjoy Frost on the Pumpkin once in a while. I love Carol's wax too. I hope I can catch her next opening to pick up my Christmas scents. Wish me luck!!

  5. Haha, I thought being called a book sniffer was bad...
I get what your bro-in-law was seeing, but I totally get Hagrid too, plus BM seems like a strange Jack o'lantern choice. Hmmm, between you and Amanda and your TJ's trips I'm thinking I'm going to have to make it an excursion soon.
PS-I placed a CFTKR order and can't wait!

    1. I think I need to go back to TJ's too! LOL! So many great things to try there.

You placed an order?!?!?! WOOT!! I cannot wait to read about it. It should be to you sometime this week. Carol ships out fast. And the samples!!! I hope you love everything.

  6. I am just like you, I love pumpkin everything! And one of my all time favorite fall scents is the B&BW Marshmallow Pumpkin Latte. I had to avoid going into the store when I had the chance so I would not buy everything fall related! Love your pumpkin still!

    1. Yes! Pumpkin everything!!! I am so glad I picked up Marshmallow Pumpkin Latte. I almost passed it up but decided to sniff it. So yummy!! I am almost out. I want to go back into BBW to get some Christmas hand soaps and a candle or two but like you, not sure if I should open that can of worms LOL!

    1. I do enjoy Alchemic Muse! Her Countrycide was a favorite of mine for a while. It has been a while since I have ordered from her. I kind of got on a FuturePrimitive kick and Handmade in Florida kick and a Haus of Gloi kick and on and on! LOL! But I will check out what she has right now. Thank you! <3 Did you pick anything up?
