Fall Fun Series Wrap Up: Top 10 Fall Scents

I hope you have enjoyed this Fall Fun Series the past few months. It was great fun meeting new friends, reading more fabulous blogs and pushing myself to blog outside of the box.

This last Fall Fun Series post features my Top 10 Favorite Fall Scents of 2016:

10. Candles From The Keeping Room Butternut Pumpkin
9. The Bathing Garden Victorian Midway
8. Candles From The Keeping Room Amish Quilt
7. Lasting Scent Candles Spooky Apparitions
6. Lasting Scent Candles Toasted Embers
5. The Bathing Garden Pumpkin Spice
4. Future Primitive Pumpkin Eater
3. Dessa's Homespun Scents Pumpkin Wreath Woods
2. Country lane Keepsakes Picking Pumpkins

And #1 is a tie. I love Candles From The Keeping Room's Full Moon, but since it has been discontinued, how can I choose something no one can buy anymore? Tears. So for one you (and I) can buy again, it would be Dessa's Homespun Scents October.

My top candle pick is Bath & Body Works  Pumpkin Woods for cozy woods factor.

I am thinking of swinging by the old BBW for Black Friday buy 3 get 3 free on candles and using a couple coupons with it.

What were some of your favorite fall scents? Did you enjoy the Fall Fun Series? Thank you to all the bloggers who joined us! We hope to bring you something exciting again soon.

  1. My usual warm and cozy pumpkin scents weren't quite doing it for me this year. I seemed to get tired of them very early on. I kept going for the blends with some fruit in, like pumpkins with apples, or spiced cranberry, and really loved the hot spiced punch type scents this year.

I admit, I didn't keep up with reading the Fall Series post much beyond you and one or two other blogs. Still, it seems crazy that we're so far into the year that the series is over now.

I did a bit of online Black Friday shopping this morning but have no plans to actually go out among the masses.

    1. You did have great luck with the spiced fruits.

It did go by really fast. Now it is the Christmas season and I don't have any fun Christmas series to do. I really enjoyed doing the FFS but of course it would have been even more fun if you had too. <3 Missed you during it.

The masses weren't too bad though my sister and I did see a scuffle in the parking lot but it didn't sound like it was over merchandise. I ended up only getting some cat stuffed animals at Books-A-Million for half off that the girls really wanted.

  2. Great scent picks. I just didn't have a lot of 'wows!' This fall in wax other than my Cider Lane wax so I had a few that stood out that I remembered were good. I am still waiting to get an order in with Carol and Rainbow melts. Never have got an order in with them and I have heard they have good seasonal melts. Anywho, Have a great weekend and I have enjoyed the series!

    1. Cider Lane is a great "WOW" scent! I missed that one this year but I will grab some next year. I think everyone has vendors they just don't have great luck getting orders in and Rainbow Melts was one for me. I have had some in Round Robins and gifts and they are nice! Last year I really wanted a holiday sampler and was just not fast enough. Some people have a hard time getting CFTKR too. VCS is another one I can never get.

You have a nice weekend too (what little is left, boy I am behind on the old blog!). I enjoyed the series too and thank you SO MUCH for being a part of it!

  3. Loved this series Julie, both reading and participating. All of your TBG picks make me rue skipping the fall release and waiting till the winter restock. I'm loving most of the winter scents I've received though. Such gorgeous blends. Good luck on those Black Friday candle deals, I'm blissfully staying out of the fray this year. Hope you had a fun, festive week off:)

    1. Thank you Jay! I did too and it was definitely more fun to have you join it. Shannon is one of my favorite vendors. I try to always order just even a little bit from her new collections, especially if they are old favorites.

Staying out of the fray is always a good idea. My mother-in-law and I headed out in late morning to the mall and I picked up my candles then. Wasn't too bad but there were definitely more people than normal out and about. I did have a really nice week off. I hope you had a nice holiday too. <3

    1. I agree. I love, love, love a well done Marshmallow Fireside scent. Did you have any stand outs from that genre?? I know you melt a lot of vendors too. I hope Pam brings back Scream Apparitions/Spooky Apparitions next year. I normally try to save one tart for the next year in scents I love but just had to melt those! Doh. Hope you are well beautiful friend <3 Thank you for stopping by!

  6. This fall I've finally come to appreciate marshmallow fireside blends. I scored some LSC toasted embers in a destash and it smells amazing! I can't wait to melt it.

I'm addicted to cider lane and creamy pumpkin blends this year. I can't get enough of them.

    1. Yes!!! LOVE Marshmallow Fireside blends too! Did you have any vendors you loved for that scent? So far I really enjoy LSC and S&S versions. Nice score on the LSC MF. I have just a little bit left of mine.

Oh yum. I never thought the blend Cider Lane and a creamy pumpkin but it is on my brain now. I will try that for next year. I hope you had a beautiful holiday week Gina. I am still eating leftovers. But whipped cream in my coffee in the mornings with a slice of pumpkin pie is never a bad thing. Except on my hips.

    2. I have marshmallow fireside by itself from sga that is amazing. I always thought marshmallow fireside had a perfumy undertone but sga's version doesn't have it. I love blending it with bakery scents. I've been wanting to blend it with bbw vanilla pumpkin marshmallow type lately but haven't tried it yet.
I also love her fall yoga pants by the fireside which is cider lane pumpkin pecan waffles and marshmallow fireside.

Another favorite is swanky creamy fireside cake.

I need to try sugar & spice's version. I think I had it in a blend with mac apple and leaves. Pumpkins in the fire has been intriguing me for a while now.

VCS's order of the arrow smells amazing too.

My Thanksgiving was nice and quiet. We borrowed a friend's family's house in the woods near Lake Tahoe. It was just my husband, son and myself. Very beautiful and serene.

Your breakfast sounds awesome!! That's what the holidays are for lol.

    3. I think I have had her Yoga Pants and I remember liking it a lot.

S&S Pumpkins in the Fire is one of my favorite house blends she carries. I love it to pieces.

VCS >tears< I can never get in an order with her. I tried so much to pick up Central Park Snowglobe and kept missing it.

Wow. Lake Tahoe is on my wish travel list. Your Thanksgiving sounds like pure perfection. One day <3

  7. Yep, this is the first year I have also gotten into marshmallow fireside scents. I used the candle wax from the bbw candle to blend with leaves. I also tried bleeding it with autumn dreaming from lsc and that was a good blend. Another one is a scent called vanilla pinecones from sga. I have not seen this scent from any other vendor and it's great with marshmallow fireside.

    2. Vanilla Pinecones and MF sound fabulous together!! Carol has Vanilla Pinecones, maybe next time I can get some and blend it. I think I may try and get some more MF from S&S too. Did you place an LSC order this last opening? I am stoked to get mine. Even though she be tiny.

  8. Ooh, that's a yummy-sounding list. I've got my eye on Bath and Body Works' Marshmallow Fireside from this year (but perhaps because of the jar? It's a really pretty frosted sort of charcoal colour.)

And thanks again for playing hostess to the Series - it was so much fun, and it was great getting to hook up with all sorts of fun new blogs I didn't know anything about before. But seriously, let's just take a moment and pour one out for ourselves - we made it! It's the Final Countdown! :)

    1. You are right! There are some lovely marbled jars this year. I saw a new scent in Smoked Vanilla (dying) that comes in this ribbed jar but it is $27 (ugh). Once it goes on sale though....

Thank you Sandra!!! I have loved reading all the new to me blogs too and will be updating my blog roll for sure. And hey. Cheers, friend! <3
