Scentsy Travel Tins

What to do with a $20 Scentsy gift certificate? Travel tins! The teachers where I work all received a $20 Scentsy gift certificate last year for Teacher Appreciation Week, among other awesome gifts in a sweet basket. I finally got around to placing my small order and chose four travel tins. These little guys get used in my car. They smell amazing and last longer than the cardboard hangy things. They run $5 each (I think if you get three they go down to $14). The tin slides open to reveal the scent that comes in the form of a gel and does not leak not matter how hot it gets.  I chose some of my favorite Scentsy scents in: My Dear Watson, Vanilla Suede (the first to go in!), Just Breathe, and Luna. What do you like to use to scent your vehicle?

  1. I don't use anything in my car but hubby uses those pick things that you shove into the vents. He's had some from Yankee, and has also tried some brand from Walmart. I just never think to get anything for my car! I might have to do something about this.

    1. My sisters use those too. Savanna and Scarlette love to ask to keep them (future smelly sisters?). Yankee has a plastic container is scented beads with an aerated lid that
Is neat too. I have used those under the seat. I really wanted a cinnamon scent but struck out.

  2. Ooh I didn't know Scentsy had those!! May have to get some of those someday! With my old car, I used those things that go in the vents -- Glade or Febreeze or something like that -- usually a flowery or fruity smell. Haven't put anything in the newer car yet, but probably will soon -- it's losing the new car smell. :-)

    1. If you like vanilla I think you might enjoy vanilla suede. It is very sweet and rich. I think these look better than the vent sliders. Not sure if they last longer since I have never used the vent ones before. Hope you have a good week my friend!

  3. Most of the fresh scents from Bath & Body Works are really headache inducing. They are pretty strong right out of the gate and diminish rapidly, but they are just too much! I like the fruity kinds of scents in the car, and more spicy ones in the fall and winter. How would you say these "throw," do they last as long as advertised??

    1. I agree. That was my experience with the scent portables too. I have had vanilla suede in my car since a little later than mid August. So about three weeks? The throw is nice but not over powering. I place it in console area. I notice the most when I get back in my car to go home. Then I quickly get used to it again. I am enjoying it. Will gladly use the rest. Cinnamon is my fav too but they didn't have what I wanted in that scent. Maybe later in the year.
