Melting Basket 67

Wax tarts from the last basket I would buy again include: CFTKR Summer Strawberry Taffy, Driftwood and Sea Salt, Glitterati Cotton Candy Honeydew Watermelon Spritzer, TBG Serendipity Cream Pie, Marie Antoinette's Boudoir, Tunnel of Love, Sleepy, and Calypso.

Country Lane Keepsakes- Warm Winter Vanilla Sugar
Candles From The Keeping Room-
Roses and Cake
Serendipity Marshmallow Delight
Strawberry Marshmallow
Merlin's Forest
Cedar Sage and Blackberry
Pink Berry and Tonka Bean
Bayberry Black Forest
I Want Cake
Agave Papaya Sunset
Fig and Cassis
Banana Nutmeg Bread Pudding <3 gift
Apple Cobbler Delight <3 gift
Celtic Moonspice <3 gift
Spiced Muffins <3 gift

I asked a while back what I could fill a basket with and had a few suggestions: Candles From The Keeping Room, County Lane Keepsakes, Super Tarts, and Sassy Girl Aroma. I have tons of CFTKR as you can see, and one piddly bag of CLK. I used to have a bit of Super Tarts but I either gave it away or used it up. And I blew through all my Sassy Girl I had ordered. I do find I go through stages with vendors. If I am on a vendor roll I will just keep going back for more. Right now my stash is comprised of:
- Candles From The Keeping Room
- The Bathing Garden
- Rosegirls
- Glitterati
- Up The Creek
- Candy Panda
- Prairie Antiques
- Valhalla
- Lasting Scent Candles
- Vintage Chic Scents
- Sniff My Tarts
- Beezy

And that is pretty low key for a wax obsessed blogger. I do want to order more from CLK, Sugar & Spice and a few others but I am focused on using what I have right now so I can start fresh.

We went to the beach for Memorial Day for the morning. We live about an hour and a half from our favorite beach. When our car crosses over the bridge to the island all the windows have to come down to better breath in the salt water and fresh air.

The last couple of summers since I started back to work full time whipped past in a whirlwind. The days wearing pj's and slouching around the house or running errands or filling the time with TV went by so fast that I missed out taking my girls to do the things I really wanted.

I am remedying this by making yet another list.... a summer list. I am still checking off random 2016 Bucket List items but I am adding a few new ones in just for the summer break: our first tent camping trip, tubing down Ichetucknee Springs, swimming at Juniper Springs, watching the pirate ship at Clearwater Beach, and as many day trips and new places as I can fit in and still enjoy doing it.

On a random subject, I got to see my second manatee up close this year. It looks far away but was much closer than it looks. Can you see the dark grey blob in the water between the rocks and boat? That is his/her snout breaking the water to the right. Love manatees.

If you could find more time to do the things you have always wanted, what would you do? What memories of your childhood do you treasure most as far as experiences and places traveled?

  1. I love this post, YAY for adventures! Maybe a trip to see a play, musical or dance if they are into that.

    1. Oooooo Jean! Yes! I will see if our local theater will have any cool plays or musicals that I can take them to. Thanks! Adventures are so much fun. Do you have any summer adventure plans?

    2. When I went hiking on my birthday I decided I need to go back or try a new trail once a month, so perhaps this weekend?? Like you I want to make the most of my free time, I should start planning.

    3. Fun! I hope you can carve out time to make that happen. I wish there was a cool place to hike near where I live. But in the summer the mosquitos are terrible and all the diseases they carry make me a little hesitant to drag my kids out to be eaten alive by them.

I am so terrible! If I don't schedule it, it may not happen.

  2. Lovely post and photos! I would definitely love to travel more if I had the money; to almost anywhere. I love the ocean so tropical/beachy destinations are high up on the list. At least I only live 2 hours from the ocean, so I try to go at least a couple of times every summer. Some friends and I have a day trip to the coast planned in July. Lunch, scenery, shopping; I'm so looking forward to it!
Your stash is dwindling as mine is growing; haha! I just got several orders in yesterday and am waiting on 2 swaps and another order for the end of June. I'm in wax heaven lately. But on the negative side, our extreme 100°+ degree heat is making it difficult to get good throw from my tarts because I always have to have so much ventilation and fans. Oh well, at least it will be cooler next week. I hope you are well!

    1. Like you, I love to travel! This year won't involve much other than a trip to Clevelsnd, but next year I am saving for a few trips. It is so nice to be close enough to the beach for a day trip. I hope you have fun shopping and hanging out with your friend at the shore. Will you blog it?

It is funny!!! My wax drawers are slowly emptying. I have a full Christmas drawer but the rest are sad sad sad. I will order more in anticipation of fall in a couple months. Enjoy your orders and swaps!!! I understand the A/C woes. But since our A/C is on 24/7, I just melt through it. I hope you have a great week Amanda!
