2017 Bucket List Wrap-Up

This year's bucket list was comprised of 30 items and I managed to experience 22 of them.

Some things I accomplished or checked off this year:
- A reading challenge
- NYC
- Some weight loss
- Tent camping
- Build a terrarium
- Give coffee to someone as a random act of kindess
- A mountain necklace
- Make a meal and deliver it to a grandparent
- Atelier candle
- Make bath salts
- Add Serge Lutens Fille en Aiguilles to my perfume collection
- Bookshelf
- Add Solstice Scents Vanilla Pipe Tobacco to my perfume collection
- Drink more tea
- Get an oxblood lipstick/lip gloss (NARS)
- Climb a mountain (Clingman's Dome)
- Plant herbs
- Enroll Scarlette back in gynmastics
- Watch Casablanca

I may still get around to making cinnamon rolls with yeast for Christmas, homemade marshmallows and my first ever Yule Log. So I am counting them in order to make sure I make them.

I didn't get around to sewing my Lord of the Rings quilt, yet again. But maybe that is a task for a more mellow year. I also was not able to surprise Adam with a weekend getaway or drive along the Blue Ridge Parkway (we were sooooo close!) but I am not counting these as loses, simply things to be done in the future.

Did you set any goals or choose things you wanted to try out or make? Were you able to accomplish any of them?

  1. You crossed a lot off that list! Go, you!

2017 was a mess for me. So many things just knocked me this way and that, and goals fell along the wayside. Hubby and I were talking the other day though and started a goals list for 2018. That list is general things like what still needs to be done in the barn, finishing the greenhouse, better yard upkeep. I might consider doing a smaller scale list for myself. I've never really done that. Might keep me motivated.

    1. Thanks! Sometimes if I was feeling lost and not very creative, it helped to peek at the list and see if there was anything I could do on it. Or if we had a free weekend I would choose one thing to do (like the disastrous but highly memorable camping trip). I love that you guys started a goal list. Feel free to use your nifty new magnet to put it up on the fridge! LOL! Skol Goals!

A smaller list is nice. I hope that you make one. Lists give me comfort and some things to look forward to. Even small seemingly silly things. Like taking a friend coffee or picking a flower to put in a vase. Small happinesses and the satisfaction of crossing something off. Just don't make it overwhelming. And be ok if not everything gets crossed off. :-)

      <3 Thinking of you!!!

    2. Skol Goals! Love that!!!

Okay, I'm going to do this. Give me a number to shoot for. Keep in mind...this is me. A number like, well, two, might be doable. LOL

    3. I vote ten. Then that is less than one thing to do per month. <3
