Haus of Gloi: April Order

My Haus of Gloi order came lightening fast. I enjoy lightening fast.

Butter Bombs in:

Lavender & Chamomile- This was supposed to be Lavender & White Amber, I was really looking forward to trying that since my friend Jean raved about it. But this one smells just as nice too. I emailed the company and Matt responded stating that it is the correct scent, just mislabeled. I must say though that my absolute favorite Bath & Body Works Aromatherapy scent is Lavender & Chamomile Sleepy Aromatherapy and this smells dead on like it. Just more concentrated. Gorgeous and sleepy time bath moments ahead.

Milk- Full fat milk frothing and warm right from the teats of a smiling bovine. A little of the Orange Blossom infiltrated this bomb and is giving it a hint of peppery sharpness.

Orange Blossom- Sharp, angular green notes of bitter orange leaves and peppery orange blossoms. I love.

Rain & Moss- Dew heavy grass blades, spider webs dotted with diamonds, green and grey shades of Spanish moss draped from old oaks. Green, pungent, ozone and aquatic.

Woodland Tea- Black tea leaves, exotic spices, the Grim in the bottom of a chipped cup. Smokey sage and billowing scarves writhe and twine in a shadowed tower.

Troika Pumpkin Butter- Creamy coconut smoothed almonds with a white musk heart. This rich cream slides easily across the skin. A beautiful slight sheen the only visible trace of its passing. The butter satiates my skin's thirst and leaves it wonderfully perfumed. This is my new favorite body butter formula. Yep. I said it.

I look forward to many more orders with Haus of Gloi in the months ahead. I need to stock up on their butter bombs, sample their soap and lip balm and get more of this lush pumpkin butter. What lotions have you been using lately?

  1. Troika! What do you think of that scent?

I'm been LOVING the body custard from Petals, and also working through some B&BW and Bodycology lotions that I got for Christmas. I'm itching to order some HoG pumpkin butter but can't justify it yet with all these other bottles here.

    1. Deb, I love it. It is beautiful, sweet and lighthearted. Very comforting. I am very much enjoying this texture. I can see more pumpkin butters in my future.

Petals custard is nice huh? It has been almost a year since I have ordered from Petals. If I spot her Pirate's Cove in the soap and custard I will spring. Lots of lotions to work through huh? Hey! Is the Petals one that figgy scent you bought?

    2. The custard is the Candied Fig scent, yes. I wouldn't get this particular scent again but I like it enough to be willing to work through this one jar of it. I also have a bottle of her lotion in Sugar Plum (I think?) scent. Haven't used it much yet so I don't know how I like the product. Love the custard though, since it seems to be the only thing that works for my hands these days.

Did you follow the thread on her page the other day about feedback on the custard? She's now going to offer little 2 oz. sampler jars, and do some unscented and some essential oil ones too.

    3. I did see that thread and I love the 2 ounce sample size. It is nice when vendors use customer input like that.

  2. Sampling Handmade in Florida and Haus of Gloi pumpkin butter for the first time in one season, the crème de la crème....a good spring for new things indeed.
