My sister, Darby, loves this stuff and recommended it to me while we were shopping in Lush. I requested a free sample of it and after about 4-5 uses, I can agree with her. My skin seems to like it and I enjoy that it leaves my face feeling nourished rather than striped. My skin usually feels tight and dry after washing it with all my various makeup removers and what not. I will be buying this to try on a longer term very soon.
Do you have any favorite Lush skin care items?
I'm so glad you like it! I use mine day and night and see a big difference in my skin. My next quest is to find a moisturizer I like :) Do you have any suggestions?
ReplyDeleteI am REALLY loving the Innisfree Korean green tea moisturizers my friend Michelle sent me. When I go to Japan I am going to try and hunt some down in Korea Town. But you can order it online too.
DeleteAs far as easier to obtain: Philosophy Muracle Worker, Lush Skin's Shangri La, and even plain old Oil of Olay. Origins has great moisturizer too (Sephora). Clinique All Day Moisturizer (I think) in the yellow bottle is good too. So many out there!!! Let's just try them all!!! Lol!

DeleteI really like the idea of trying the Innisfree Korean green tea moisturizer! Maybe I will order it. Thank you for all of the suggestions! I think I will sample them all. :) Its hard when there are so many great products.
DeleteI'm finally getting into the Lush facial products. the Tea Tree Water we picked up is amazing! usually I stick to my Burts Bees blemish stick, but this stuff is helping clear up my face and keep it clear!
DeleteThat tea tree spray is totally on my radar!!! I adore tea tree anything plus I bet it will be divine in the hot summers.
DeleteI can't stand the smell of Herbalism - it's so oily and having had a chance to work in packing it into pots it's a messy job I would rather not repeat.
ReplyDeleteMy favourite LUSH skincare item is probably the Grease Lightning cleanser, which works nicely to reduce redness.
It IS oily! The smell is certainly not the most invigorating. But my skin seems to like it. I can actually skip night time moisturizing if I use this. Your behind-the-scenes Lush experience sounds interesting and eye opening :-) maybe being too up close and personal to some products would turn me off? Buche de Noel comes to mind.
DeleteReducing redness is always welcome. I may need to sample some Greased Lightening to try.
If it works for you, then hey - go for it! :) I find that the Fresh mask in Oatifix does even more than cleanse and moisturize - it also exfoliates gently. A three-in-one that costs less that $10 and smells amazing - perfection! Buche was a surprise dud this year - not many fans. People always love Good Times Roll, however I find it too harsh.
DeleteI have enough empties to turn in for a fresh face mask. Thank you so much for the rec! Good Times Roll does get a lot of love but the popcorn thing does not jive for my nose usually (hate kettle corn/popcorn scented wax- love to eat it! Not smell it). I didn't like Lush's Popcorn lip scrub either.
DeleteHerbalism sounds like it smells really lush! HA! No pun intended! And not gonna lie, it looks like, well, you know...da reefer? I am horrible, lol, getcho mind outta the bad places, Lolo! Glad you enjoyed this, it's cool they give samples of things you might want to try!
ReplyDeleteHashish!!!!!! Wake and Bake da face. Bob approved. It does look sketch. I swear it is only face wash. I love how generous Lush is with freebies <3
DeleteI adore their Ayesha mask. It really hydrates you and makes wrinkles fade away (temporarily!) It's especially great for jet lag, or anytime you don't get enough sleep.
ReplyDeleteAyesha sounds lovely. Now that I am seeing fine lines creep up on me, this has extra appeal. During the womanly time of moon I tend to suffer in my sleep with nocturnal cramping so this will help then too. Thank you for the excellent rec!
