FuturePrimitive Bath Salt and Aromatic Oil Review

Olfactory Bathing Grains... I am tempted to buy a few bags of this scent and put them in an antique glass sealable jar and cut this label off the bag, adhere it to the front and toss a cool little metal scoop in. The whole feel of the branding is a late 19th century traveling carnival medicine show where the "snake oil" man on stage has a big top hat, a thrusting cane and is bellowing the benefits of "Dr. Kack's Miracle Cure for What Ails You!" and it turns out to be soda pop in a decorative glass jar. It is a fun retro vibe.
Also I want to buy a few bags in this scent... because it is beautiful. So beautiful that as soon as the bag opened and I plunged my nose in, I went back on the FuturePrimitive site and ordered Shadow Show in the perfume oil.... and quickly left so nothing else could mysteriously jump in my cart (does that happen to anyone else?). I poured about a quarter of the contents into running hot water and submerged myself. The white, fine, crystal grains emitted a sweet dark scent pregnant with ripe plums and pomegranates, spiced with pepper and cinnamon and supported with a base of incense, moss and amber. Shadow Show is a scent that begs to be purchased in the full line of products and worn in the fall. The thought of this scent clinging to a soft scarf in the closet waiting to be worn makes my heart pitter patter.
The Aromatic Oil in White Witch got a couple of spins around the block since it arrived. I only ordered a tiny sample size, as to try one of FuturePrim's signature scents. Green and serene geranium come through the most with a touch of patchouli lurking. One of my favorite book characters, Claire Randall Fraser, from Outlander by Diana Gabaldon is a medicinal herbalist. I can visualize her crushing herbs in her mortar, the chlorophyll staining her finger tips, surrounded by bottles and cheesecloth bags brimming with local flora. Her room, her hair, her skin must smell like this. The patchouli is fresh and green as well, just as it is when recently picked. The sillage is medium, fading to soft after 3-4 hours, and longevity is most of the day, about 8-10 hours.
Bathing grains- yes. Shadow Show scent- YES! White Witch- yes.

    1. I think I will :-) I need to wait until I can order some more. The bags are kind of small.
I have not seen her videos. Are they linked to her site? Or just search youtube for futureprim

    3. I did Jean! I sat and watched 3-4 videos and had to stop so I wouldn't order everything. Going to watch more tonight after girls go to sleep.
