Haus of Gloi: Butter Bomb

Butter Bomb in Carnation & Milk smells exactly like peppery carnations drenched in unsweetened cream. This tiny scoop of a butter bomb packed a surprising punch in the bath tub. The water diffused the full bodied flower petals and cream into the air and it lingered like a haze above the rippling reflection. The butter moisturized my skin thoroughly. I enjoyed this so much I went to Haus of Gloi and bought more. One in each scent except Strawberry (they are located under Spring if you are interested).

Haus of Gloi is a company I have been wanting to try for quite some time. Thanks to Jean, I was able to recently. Deb had me jonesing to try their Troika Pumpkin Butter (which I bought too) and quite a few other scents stand out among their line.

Two perfume oil samples were generously included in the gift as well:

Come Hither- Sweet vanilla and saffron entice the senses. Antique drawers filled with laced edged fabrics hiding a sweet sachet.

Cozy Rose- Rose petals and incense smoke. Aphrodite and Eros.

I am excited I have one more butter bomb in Carnation & Milk to use. It is quite a unique and haunting aroma. Have you tried Haus of Gloi? What are your favorite products from them?

  1. Even though I haven't ordered from Haus of Gloi in like, forever, they're still one of my sentimental favorites. And yay for Troika! I need to order more. In an old post about it, I said it reminded me of my mom but I have no idea why. lol

Can't wait for your haul post!

    1. Thanks! I am excited to slather it on! My skin gets dry with being outdoors more in the summer. I wear sunscreen but I still get dry patches. That is sweet that it reminds you of your mom. These days my mom sports Calvin Klein Euphoria so that reminds me of her now.

My haul is not large but after reading these comments I may have to add more! Oops!

    2. Deb, browsing old blog posts and I figured out Britton turned 30 last weekend. I'm getting nostalgic.

    3. Jean - Wow, that surprised me at first. She just always seems like a young 20s to me. But I guess, thinking about it, it's been quite a while since I first started in soap and came across her and had that first impression. lol

  2. I love carnation, it is a scent that didn't really catch my attention until I smelled it in perfume.

Absinthe and Peach Mama are a couple of my favorites, Britton spent part of her youth in GA and peach crops up in her blends in the fall. In general scents tend towards the sweet and bright side, probably a reflection of her sweet tooth and general love of food and baking.

I can't wait to hear what you think about the new butter bombs and hope the Amber & lavender ones are around for a while in case you need more. I was huffing the empty wrapper for a couple days. ♥

    1. I also hope there is some Madcap Garden in your life at some point, as the designated super minty scent.

    2. You know, I only ordered one of each so now I am wondering if I should grab a few more of the lavender. I just adore lavender. Adding absinthe (it caught my eye anyway) and madcap to my try list. Can't turn down mints!

    4. :)) FYI I found their scent list although it's a bit outdated, some LE's became general catalog and Honey Tree was retired.

    6. I also found the secret way to get to the lip balm...it is through the Valentine's section link. I got a tube of wild rose and I am enjoying it.

    1. Mmmmmm! Sounds yummy! Makes me wish she dabbled in wax tarts. I would totally love to try a home fragrance that smells like a s'mores coffee. Especially in the fall and winter.

  4. So happy you're on the HoG bandwagon!! I've been a customer for 5 years :) My favorite items; bar soap, pumpkin butter for my hands, and body emulsion for the bod (it's the only lotion I buy). For hand soaps I like both the bubbling scrub or whipped soap. My personal favorite scents; honeysuckle lemon curd, insalata nocturna, absinthe, moon dog, twice as nice, and vice. TDF ltd's; beguiled, rosey cheeks, white raspberry, pumpkin queen, pumpkin eater, old cider haus, hearth, and fancy bread,
