Dessa's Homespun Scents: 4th of July Sale Order

Dessa's Homespun Scents held a 4th of July sale with an extra 15% off before she took some personal time off. I had placed a tidy order just before this as you guys know but there were a few new scents Dessa released in time for the sale so I grabbed a small handful. Her scent shots are $1.75 each.

Apples & Cinnamon and Cinnamon Garland were repurchases and can be read about here. They are great for spice lovers.

Homemade Apple Pie- Sweet mac apples and cinnamon dustings with extra thick flaky pie crust you can certainly bite your teeth into. I like being able to smell the crust in this one.

Pumpkin Apple Butter Caramel- Spiced apples and creamed pumpkin swimming in melted butter and sticky caramel. A thick toothsome aroma.

Pumpkin Cinnamon Donuts- I have been enjoying this scent for a while now from a few different vendors. Dessa's is nice too. Pumpkin and cinnamon with a bread pudding or custard like texture underneath. Not such much donuts but definitely rich dessert.

Country Store- This was a sample in my last order and it threw strong with that cozy familiar cinnamon and spice with sugar and apple sweetness. I love love love this dusty lilac shade of pink. Glad to have it again.

Home for the Holidays- Oooo! Cranberry! And a yummy one. Not too candy or artificial. Clear ruby cranberry juice with burgundy orbs of fruit floating in a simmering pot on the stove. The tree in the corner lends the slight outdoors air to the fruity stew in the kitchen. Love.

Warmed Orange Gingerbread- If Hot Orange Danish and Honeyed Gingerbread had a baby then this would be the result. Gingerbread cake, fluffy and light with just a pinch of spice and orange zest, topped with honeyed icing. I need to see if this is a real recipe I can make.

Spiced Orange Pomander- I seriously harbor a deep infatuation with pomanders. I need to make some this year. This scents is full of ripe shiny oranges, studded with cloves and tied with cinnamon bark sticks. Homespun indeed. Such a great festive yet comforting scent.

Pomegranate Cider- A candy version of apple cider, a bit sweeter and smoother with what smells like added vanilla. I like this.

Cinnamon Buns- The scale is really cute. I mainly get sweet cinnamon, but I never get tired of that. Maybe a hint of cake that reminds me a little of my childhood obsession with Hostess Coffee Cake twin packs at the gas station. Gosh those things were so dang good.

Buttery Maple Syrup- IHOP in a tart. Just like butter pecan syrup on my stack of fluffy pancakes with extra butter, of course.

Happy again with my Dessa's order. She is working on a spicy cedarwood scent for me and I am over the moon excited. I hope it comes out and she releases it with all her new fall and holiday scents. She has a few I am eyeing. Have you tried Dessa's yet?
