Whew. If you can tell from my basket pic, I am scrapping this post together by the skin of my teeth, using the last dregs of my energy. Totally camera phoned it in. We are only midway through the week but it has been a packed one.

I am loving my new job at the new school. The kids are awesome. Even with running on fractured sleep I have had a great experience.

Scarlette was ill for a handful of days, needing various IV fluids and such for a possible salmonella poisoning. She had quite a few late night/early morning calls for help that had Adam and I up and rubbing her back, cleaning her and bringing her fever down. She missed her first two days of school but is healing now and went to class as an official 2nd grader. She is growing into a helpful and kind snuggle-bug.

Savanna loves her new 9-12 year old class (4th grade for her), her new teacher and new classroom. Montessori does 3 year cycles: 3-6 year olds in the same class (primary class), 6-9 year olds (lower elementary class), then 9-12 year olds. Savanna moved to the upper elementary with the big kids and it blows my mind. Her feet are the same size as mine now, she is reading over 800 page books, and she Skypes with her friends but she still loves to have me lay in bed and talk before she goes to sleep and will hold my hand in public.

This school year has started like a hurricane but I think it has finally settled into the new rhythm. The floors may need sweeping and the dishes may be dirty in the sink but I am happy in my work and the girls are both healthy at the moment. Before my eyes get much heavier I think I had better schedule this post to go out in the morning and call it a night. How has your week been going?

  1. Glad Scarlette's on the mend! Exciting for Savanna...moving up, and growing up. When I try to think back about my boys' school days it's all a blur. It really did fly by!

My week has been drama from one end to the other, in all areas. It's really knocked the wind out of my sails but I'm starting to feel a bit better now. Wagner is soothing me from the stereo, and I might get my hair cut today. Aaahhhh.

    1. Thank you. I can see how the blur begins. Their time spent as babies is a blur or sleepless nights, breastfeeding and mountains of diapers. Toddlerhood is a mini tornado blur. I hope I can hold on to some clear memories as the years pass.

I am so sorry. I hate that it has been a rough time for you. At least there is Wagner. I keep waiting on my first paycheck so I can mail out all the boxes and het you medieval music to you. I have been listening to it on the way to work and back. Hope the haircut goes well.

    2. Oh! I forgot about the medieval music! Now I'm excited!!!

I'm impatiently waiting for some fall things to show up at my stores, then I can get going on my own fall boxes.

    3. Yay! I hope you like it.

Just went to Target and picked up a cute string of mason jar jack o'lantern lights. A few Halloween goodies are showing up.

  2. Hey, no shame in the camera phone game! I do it all the time in a pinch.

I'm glad Scarlette is feeling better. That doesn't sound like a fun situation for anyone involved. I would hate to miss the beginning of a new school year. I had to miss the first week of my Freshman year of high school.

My week has been very eventful. I don't know where to start with blogging about it so I'm procrastinating by commenting on other blogs. LOL

Could I get a review for LSC Snow Globe and both Glitterati blends? I have yet to melt any of my Violet blends from Janine.

    1. LOL! I felt bad but I really didn't have the energy to use my camera then plug it in the to computer then transfer to edit and yada yada. Glad you didn't mind :-)

Did you have mono or something? I bet that was awful for high school. It is scary enough without feeling like you are behind everyone too.

I hope eventful as in good.

Absolutely! I am looking forward to that Glitterati one. I hope you had a great week!

  3. I also would love a review of the LSC Snow Globe. And hey the Glitterati too- I know everyone was raving about the Violet sugar cookies. Love to see what you think! Tks!

    1. Will do! It would be my pleasure! I had not realized that Glitterati's Violet Sugar Cookies was such a huge hit in the community. I rarely go onto vendor pages unless something pops up in my feed. Thank you for stopping by! <3
