719 Walnut Avenue Candle: Cinnamon Apple Cider

My dear Deb picked up a few things for me in her Walmart that I just never seem to be able to get my hands on. I swear she lives in the apex of the wax world... all the best Walmart tarts are in stock for her AND she has Rosegirls practically next door. What a lucky lady. As am I for having her as a great friend in way more than just the wax sense.

I am woefully behind on the 719 Walnut Avenue candle phenomenon. Thankfully, not anymore. These three wicks are comparable in size and branding to Bath & Body Works candles but at a price point of $4.93. This guy had some really close wicks, all gathered in the middle like they were having a pow-wow but this did not hinder the performance. The flames burned with fortitude and a nice deep red pool of wax formed evenly. The throw was medium to medium strong, filling the computer room/craft room/office with the sweet scent of candied apples. Not too much spice and not much to hint at cider, but still a festive and light-hearted fragrance that we all enjoyed in the house.

I would repurchase again for sure and will continue my quest to find more scents. Have you burned these candles yet? Which are your favorite?

  1. I have a few of these candles but I have not burned any yet. I am waiting for the weather to get a little cooler. This one sounds great! I think the last one I purchased is caramel apple.

    1. Ooo! Caramel apple! I bet that one and this one would compliment each other well. Hoping cooler weather comes to both of us soon! Hope you are well Kim. <3

  2. I began purchasing this brand a year back and I remain consistently satisfied with 719 Walnut Ave. candles. My personal favorite is Pumpkin Waffles; I've probably gone through 8 in a years time. Strong medium throw, a rotating selection of seasonal fragrances and a very inexpensive price makes these puppies attractive in every respect. It can be difficult to track down the entire seasonal assortment as most Walmarts only carry 3-4 fragrances and all selections don't seem to be available on the web site. FYI if you're looking for another source for inexpensive/moderately priced seasonal candles, Kohl's has an incredible variety under the Sonoma Life+Style brand. If you like pumpkin, you HAVE to try one! They're nearly always on sale at $9.99 and there are frequent 20% off sales and lots of other promotional discounts. Pumpkin Donut and Pumpkin Spice rival the best pumpkins from BBW!!

    1. I love that you have had such wonderful long term results with them Kevin! I look forward to sampling more scents. I may have to check out Pumpkin Waffles. 1. I love cinnamon apple too Tricia! I do wish it had been more spiced but as a candy apple scent it is quite nice.

  4. When I first glanced at the picture before looking at the subject I thought for sure it was a B&BW candle -- the branding and size are so similar! I"m glad it melted well because that price point is a WIN.

    1. Isn't it uncanny? I wonder how BBW feels about it? The price makes them great for filling lanterns and such. I always feel like I am wasting my candles in my lanterns because it diminishes the event for me. But not with these! I can afford to put them in there.

    2. The company that makes 719 candles also makes candles for B&BW. Soooo.....

    3. Interesting, but is that company owned by BBW or is it like a second party contractor? Like when BBW carried other brands?

  5. I cannot find these candles in ANY Walmart around me and I've been pouting about it forever. Maybe they're not actively carried in Florida stores?

    1. They are in the cleaning supplies aisle, by the Glade and Febreze stuff.....not the regular candles/wax aisle.

  6. I loooove 719 candles! They are the poor woman's BBW, haha! But they are actually my favorite candle brand; I have tried basically every scent they make and have liked or loved them all! My absolute favorites are Pumpkin Pecan Waffles and Caramel Cinnamon Roll. I just picked up 2 new holiday scents yesterday; Warm Sugar Cookies and Peppermint Twist. Reviews up on my blog. I really hope they bring back my holiday favorite from last year; Marshmallow Treat.
