Lake Providence Lodge

Darby and I decided to do another group order. Lake Providence Lodge has been on both of our "To Order From" lists so it seemed the natural next choice. She chose 6 scents and I chose 6 scents then we ordered two of each and split the order down the middle. It is fun for us to shop this way as we get to try scents we would not normally order. I think it came to something like $25 each for a dozen scent shots. The shipping was fast and we used a code to get $1.50 off. There were four generous samples in bundt shapes but I didn't care for any of them so Darby kept them all.

Pumpkin Butter- A creamy, slightly spiced pumpkin scent that has a touch of a water note to it. I am hoping the spices will come forth more when melted to cover the water note (Country Cottage is another of hers that has this note).

Iced Pumpkin Cookie- Very light on cold. Just getting a hint of cinnamon. No cookie/bakery, no pumpkin.

Spiced Pumpkin- An excellent scent!I have melted this one before courtesy of Jacqui and knew I wanted it again. Strong cinnamon and pumpkin mixture that throws really well.

Apple Barn- Soft apples (potpourri more than red or green), smooth oak and spice. A unique and comforting autumn scent.

The Lodge's Kitchen- A melange of spices and stewed fruits cooking in a kitchen with wooden tones from the paneling, cupboards and butcher block. This one will be a favorite.

The Lodge- Mmmmm. Cinnamon Broom. I have had this one before too, I think from Lauren ages and ages ago. It is for spice lovers and will hit the sweet spot.

Balsam Ridge- Festive as a Christmas tree. It smells just like Fresh Balsam from Bath & Body Works.

Tree-lined Trail- This one smells a touch like Winter from Bath & Body Works. Just not as snappy and smokey as their version is. Still a wonderful wonderful scent.

Peppermint- I chose this one based on Lauren's recent IG post. If she ever recommends a peppermint I am all in. This one is very pure and icy. Just how I like my mints.

Hot Bath- I have always been curious about this one for some reason. It does not disappoint. A soothing perfumed blend that reminds me of sandalwood, soft lavender and vanilla musk.

Melted Marshmallow- A dense vanilla laden marshmallow that takes me back to days that were filled with Front Porch marshmallow blends. This one promises to be just as good.

Rose Preserves- A Lush Rose Jam dupe that is pretty nice. Roses, sugar, and citrus.

Overall I am happy with my Lake Providence Lodge order and look forward to melting these white hunks of wax. Have you ordered from them yet? Any favorite scents? Which of these ring you chimes?

    1. Thanks! I think we got a nice mixture of bakery, spicy, floral and sweet. Spiced Pumpkin comes highly recommended. I just love it. I am hoping Tree-lined Trail melts with the nice throw that Spiced Pumpkin had. Thanks for stopping by! You have a great blog and we are so close in distance. :-) Right down the road from you, in Lakeland.

    1. Thanks! I can only claim half of them though :-D I am glad you recommend her strawberry. I am dreadfully picky about strawberry scents but I should branch out and try hers next. I KNEW I would kick myself for not getting Heirloom Rose. I kept hemming and hawing over it and in the end decided on Rose Preserves. Definitely, definitely getting Heirloom Rose next time too. Thanks Amanda! Totally digging your outfit today sassy lady!

  4. The Lodge is hands down my favorite LPL scent. When melting, it's pure liquid cinnamon gold. I have a giant bag of shapes in it, and if you know me it's VERY rare that I want to have a large quantity of something. Glad you liked Spiced Pumpkin too! Definitely another one of my faves. I'd love to hear how Peppermint and Hot Bath do when melted. Plain peppermints often scare me after my experience with FP plain peppermint. Straight up chalky peppermint Tums. Yuck!!

    Have a great week Julie!

    1. You are dead on. It is insanely good. I could use a jumbo bag of it too. Cinnamon gets melted year round in my house. I would be honored to melt and review those two. I have high hopes for both based on cold sniff. Chalky mints are a nasty beast. Ew.

Thank you Jacqui, I am hoping to make it a good one. At any rate, better than last week. I hope you have a great week too! Go Browns! :-D Adam is riding that high!
