FuturePrimitive: Lughnasadh Soap

Lughnasadh is a Gaelic festival marking the start of Autumn. This soap is a stunning celebration of this upcoming season. Not the pumpkins, spices and apples type of autumn. Think out of doors. Wafts of distant smoke from burning brittle leaves, pine needles releasing their camphorous resin when you crush them under your leather boot, and the ancient perfumes of the woods that rise from the moss strewn forest floor. Creamy, silky lather that slides like satin onto the skin, leaving it feeling soft and moisturized.

  1. I ended up getting a backup of this one last year. Tiggy dug deep when she came up with this release, visiting an old manor for inpsiration. I look forward to seeing what else traveled across the ocean. :)

    1. She did dig deep and it shows. Her scent stories are so beautiful and engulfing. I was really conservative this order. I am needing more hair rinse though and I know Halloween scents will be emerging soon so I figure I will place another small order soon. :-) any fall/Halloween releases you are anticipating?

    2. I'm holding off for the holidays, Tiggy has a scent with citrus, cardamom, frankincense, cassia, and clove. Herne is going to be tiding me over until then.

By the way, let me know when you try the punisher soap sample, the gray one with seeds. It's clay, fine ground pumice and dead sea salt. I used it today and I feel spa clean, always nice in August.

    3. I will try that one tonight. I have been using up the lovely slivers you have given me. Punisher will be in rotation tonight. Herne. That's right! So many soaps so little time.

  2. what a pretty bar!
Question --do you scrape off the dried petals off the top before getting the soap wet?

    1. It is pretty! No, I leave the leafy, flower bits on the bar. I might take the wheat head off Owlette's End only since it is so big.

    1. Yes! In all honesty, sometimes the scent description makes me want it and other times just the appearance of the soap pulls me in. This was both! Have a great rest of week Tricia!
